Loved the article. Gives a much better understanding of RR. I especially appreciated the comments in the article regarding RR and Barwis and the presence of their families in Schembechler Hall. What a great thing, in a way, for the team. Thanks for this.

for posting the link. It was a very poignant article. It is nice to have a former Carr player who also served time under Rodriguez give his perspective. He shows that Rodriguez is every bit as caring as Carr in regards to the players. I think that for a former player to make the connection is really valuable.

are speaking out in RR's defense. I'm sure the Detroit media won't consider that newsworthy, though. After all, what do Rick Leach and Stan Edwards and Jerry Hanlon know about football at Michigan that Rosensnyder and Valenti don't?

This is a great post. Thanks for the link. Derek Bell was in my fraternity at Michigan. He's a solid guy and a hard-worker himself, so coming from him these comments mean a lot. It's refreshing to see something that isn't meant to tear down someone at all costs!

I knew Derek Bell while at Michigan and he was a stand up guy. I saw him last year and asked him what he was up to these days and he told me after going to grad school he felt he should come back to Ann Arbor and help some children in need. He said that he felt he should give back to the community that gave him so much. Great point of view from a former player!

she can ingest it from the other end. I sincerely hope that that that idiot of a woman gets some face time with real fans this season and a little attitude adjustment, Does anyone know if she is a 'Brown' connected to the Brown family from Kalamazoo that are super wealthy and extremely involved boosters of M football? I know she is not the Susan Crumpacker Brown that ran for University Regent, but could she be a different Susan from the same tree? That would be a story. If you can link her to an extremely influential group of old-time boosters, then perhaps it was not an accident that they just happened to be strolling around campus and were (surprise) interviewed so that they could plant a soundbite like, '..I'm appalled, he shouldn't have a job...' I'm not at all a conspiracy theorist, but it did strike me as extremely coincidental that the first person they talked to, a UM grad, would be so extremely negative in responding publicly to what at that point were only vague allegations and would publicly call for his job. Anyone want to do some real investigative journalism? I'm just sayin'

Thanks for the article. By the way, we as a fanbase need to take a break from the term "Michigan Man." It just seems like it's thrown around so frequently it's lost some of the special meaning.

Have you seen the diaries written about the definition of a "Michigan Man" poster over the past few days? I mean this as an actual question, not a snide remark. I agree that the term is tossed around quite loosely, but these diaries do an excellent job in clarifying the general definition (i.e. descendant of Bo) and what Bo was trying to get at.

Well written piece by Derek Bell. He goes in to a lot of things that are not publicized that RR and staff do. That was great.
