Well we are sure to be doomed because on the 26th of January last year, I ate some bad Mexican food and was pulling a Harry Dunn in my bathroom all day. Definitely not a good sign.

If we can get him.  The post Mike Hart era has been the longest consecutive stretch of Michigan football I can remember without a top tier RB.  I realize we're never going to lead the nation in sub 4.3 DB recruits from Florida, but it seems crazy that we're all on pins and needles just to get a high profile RB at Michigan.  Back in the day, landing high end talent at this position was a given.

Thanks again, RichRod!

So terrible that Ohio offered him early just as we did. If Michigan and ohio offer you before your senior year of high school even starts, chances are you're pretty good at football.

But it certainly wouldn't have hurt our offense's production during his time here if we had gotten stronger, more consistent play out of the RB position.

For the earlier poster who said we were never running back-U, I humbly submit the following names from my years as a Michigan fan: Butch Woolfolk, Jamie Morris, Tony Boles, Leroy Hoard, Tyrone Wheatley, Tsimanga Biakabatuka, Anthony Thomas, Chris Perry, Mike Hart. All those guys were among the best backs in the Big 10 during their days at Michigan, several played at an All America level and all besides Boles made it to the NFL at some point. From 1979-2007, we never went more than 3 years without having at least one of those guys on the team. Manball obviously requires a big, talented O-Line but you need the good tailback as well. Other than the Fitz 2011 campaign we haven't gotten that type of production out of the RB spot since 2007. By Michigan standards, that's way too long.

But I just read a great series of quotes from Derrick Green's mother about the complete falsehoods some Auburn insiders have been spewing about her supposedly wanting her son to go to Auburn over any others.
