He's staying. The return of BKFinest was an omen
January 9th, 2013 at 1:54 PM ^
bkfinest it?
January 9th, 2013 at 8:16 PM ^
It.
yes.

That Lewan is basing his decision purely on comment #150 on this thread... No pressure.
January 9th, 2013 at 1:57 PM ^
Nothing hits home to recruits like watching players from their prospective colleges get selected in the lottery on draft day. We have offensive line talent at Michigan. Lewan needs to get his money and represent us well in the league! Congratulations Taylor!!
January 9th, 2013 at 3:23 PM ^
I doubt he'll even get drafted, let alone as a lottery pick.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:04 PM ^
I'll feel guilty.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:07 PM ^
May yours lead to a less entangled mess than mine.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:11 PM ^
I'd be happier if he stayed. I wouldn't be disappointed if he left. Thanks for providing this old alum some great entertainment. Show em whose boss, big fella.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:14 PM ^
Way too many guys leaving college early nowadays, but Lewan would not be one of them. It's hard to argue that he should stick around. It's the Shantee Orrs and Ernest Shazors that screw up by leaving early.

the Donovan Warrens.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:21 PM ^
Post a tweet yesterday or Monday saying something to the effect that his return to AA was going to be a short trip, leaving Thursday, etc? Figured that was it right there...
January 9th, 2013 at 2:41 PM ^
Leaving Thursday. #shorttrip
That means he's staying today!
January 9th, 2013 at 3:22 PM ^
Meinke (sp?) or another AA area writer clarified regarding that, he is heading to CT Thursday for a short trip. A ceremony for the Walter Camp AA team.
January 9th, 2013 at 2:24 PM ^
If he stays though, he can guarantee a shot at being the First O-linemen off the board... Right now he's projected third after Loeckel (sp?) and Chance Warmack of Alabama... It's a win/win either way... I think he leaves this year as his hometown team is projected to pick him in most mock scenarios...

?!?!?
January 9th, 2013 at 3:04 PM ^
Any chance of a livefeed available for this?
January 9th, 2013 at 3:23 PM ^
...you never know, right? Sometimes emotional choices win out over rational ones.
January 9th, 2013 at 3:25 PM ^
Classes started today, anyone see him? That might tell us something
January 9th, 2013 at 3:51 PM ^
So maybe if nobody's seen Taylor, then it means he's staying?
January 9th, 2013 at 4:10 PM ^
He stayed at Michigan for four years and became a dominant player. I think he's ready, but I sure as hell wouldn't complain if he came back.
January 9th, 2013 at 4:24 PM ^
He so gone
January 9th, 2013 at 4:37 PM ^
If anybody is quirky enough to turn down millions, it could be him. Everybody knows he should go, and he knows he has every reason to go ... but I think a guy like Taylor might enjoy being a kid enough to stay in college. I don't know what his financial situation is, but he strikes me as a guy who'd love everything that goes along with being a college student. He's probably gone, but I'd give him a better chance to stay than most people with his draft potential.
January 9th, 2013 at 4:41 PM ^
He gone!!
Good luck sir.
January 9th, 2013 at 5:11 PM ^
"Leaving Thursday. #shorttrip" meaning leaving AA Thursday . That's too bad, but respect the decision to leave
January 9th, 2013 at 5:50 PM ^
Walter Camp function in New Haven CT begins Thursday night Lewan made first team RT @TaylorLewan Leaving thursday. #shorttrip
January 9th, 2013 at 5:55 PM ^
That is not his announcement...
January 9th, 2013 at 5:35 PM ^
Like one of the previous posters replied, wouldn't shock me to see him stay. ND and UM seem to carry kids that care about their school and would love nothing more than to compete for championships.
January 9th, 2013 at 5:49 PM ^
Wasn't Long in almost the exact position? Top-15 or so pick? And he decided to come back an ended up going 1. Maybe Lewan wants that last shot at a B1G championship. And to cement himself as an all-time great at Michigan. Weirder things have happened.
January 9th, 2013 at 5:52 PM ^
I've thought all along he was gone, but remember Jake Long? Sure first rounder, stayed for his love for his school, and his team. Didn't stay to improve his draft stock, clearly stayed so he can finish what he committed to. Either way, I wish Lewan nothing but the best in life, I just think it may go either way...
January 9th, 2013 at 6:00 PM ^
It's about that time.
January 9th, 2013 at 6:13 PM ^
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
January 9th, 2013 at 6:14 PM ^
He's staying!
