I'm guessing they'll announce the who's gonna start at QB on Saturday
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:31 PM ^
The coaches said that the starting QB will be told that he is starting on Thursday night. So presumably they'll let the fans know soon after, which is what tonight's 7pm announcement if for.
September 3rd, 2009 at 4:40 PM ^

September 3rd, 2009 at 4:41 PM ^
Is this the regular coaches show? And is it on TV?

With apologies to the headline of the article Brian wrote back in the day...
Rich Rodriguez Blamed For Offense, Defense, Kicking Game, Real Estate Swindles, Iraq, 9/11, Swine Flu, Everything Else
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:07 PM ^
Was Brian the Every Three Weekly author that wrote that article? He would take on an entirely new persona in my mind if that is true.
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:16 PM ^
Brian was the author of that article.
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:17 PM ^
I think he confirmed it. That remains the greatest E3W article ever.

Agreed...another favorite of mine was the Mayflower blurb.
April showers bring may flowers, Mayflower brings disease, white devil.

I've had just about enough surprises this week, thank you very much.
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:06 PM ^
if it was going to be bad they wouldn't publicize it ahead of time like this. This is clearly designed to generate fan interest. My money is on Rick Leach being named the starter. He's been to every practice. Either him or Tate.

Night Games
*ducks*
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:20 PM ^
For whatever reason this surprise is giving off a bad vibe. It's going to be Sheridan. The only real surprise would be DRob starting. Please le it be that Hiller can't play (just for this one game-I don't like rooting for people to be hurt) and they just found out.

Rosenberg article was just a practical joke on the fanbase. Haha! Richrod was in on it too. He even cried at the press conference as Rosenberg told him to do.
Boren actually didn't transfer and will be starting on the OL for us. Could you believe that everyone thought he became a Buckeye!
We're not really playing Connecticut in the opener next year. We're actually playing Huron High. Ha!
Richrod pulls of his prosthetic face, and it's really Lloyd Carr.
Lloyd Carr proceeds to pull off his face, and it's really Les Miles.
Less Miles pulls off his prosthetic face, and it's really Whoopi Goldberg.

She led the knicks to the playoffs with broken down John Salley leading the way....
I'll take her!
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:37 PM ^
Is it bad that I really wish that number one were true and that the whole article was a huge joke by the AD as a commentary on how (over)reactive ESPN and everyone as fans are?
September 3rd, 2009 at 5:32 PM ^
I think it could be about the QB situation. Two thoughts entered my mind...
1) Sheridan is starting, and RichRod knows fans are wary of him so it's kind of like a heads up so there's time to cool down.
2) Forcier is starting, and RichRod is trying to get fans pumped.
3) A million other things. The above 2 are what entered my mind initially but I know that it might not be one of those 2, especially the reasoning.

Susan Brown has been hired as Rich Rod's new publicist.

Nickelback FTW!
September 3rd, 2009 at 6:49 PM ^
In all seriousness I'm glad this is supposed to be some kind of official announcement. My first thought upon reading the title was, "I don't want to be surprised. Every time that's happened lately, another kitten dies."
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:07 PM ^
Did anybody get the Internet feed to work?
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:08 PM ^
Is this on a radio station live? If so, do they have a feed better than the non-existent official e-feed?
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:09 PM ^
Just turned it on . . . did they announce the surprise already?
September 3rd, 2009 at 7:16 PM ^
