2013 LB. Reuben Foster "Wants to visit Michigan"

Following up on a Sam Webb report, 2013 commitment Henry Poggi tells me that five-star LB Reubon Foster "wants to visit Michigan".  He says they've been talking a lot and that he thinks Foster is serious about taking a visit.

It's still a long-shot either way, but apparently it's worth at least speculating on in regards to a visit.  Director of Player Personnel Chris Singletary was following him on twitter yesterday afternoon; this is only meaningful because Singletary is the guy who sets up and coordinates recruit visits.

I know this was touched on yesterday in another thread, but felt it was thread worthy with this update.  This would be a HUGE GET for Michigan.

He's listed as a 5 star and the #6 player in the nation.

I don't care how big of a long shot people say he is. A visit to UM would no longer make him a long shot. You don't visit of you are not seriously interested in most cases.

Yeah but, it's January. You go visity USC, UCLA, Miami (YTM) or something. Places that are warm, have hot chicks, and have been known to have boosters who like to have a layer of hundred dollar bills in their hand when they shake yours so they don't get your germs, and who know said hot chicks and can set up a little one on one time if you like. You don't go to Ann Arbor Michigan in January unless you've got serious interest.

Never thought about this, but I have a theoretical question. Say a kid goes on an official to a school and gets a cash handshake at that school from a booster. Then, he ultimately decides not to go to that school and go somewhere else. If it became public that he accepted money, would it just be the school with the booster that gets in trouble, or could his eligibility be threatened?

I mean, what 18 year old wouldn't like traveling all over the country hanging out on college campuses for free.

I'd hate to think about what things I would have taken advantage of if I was the #1 RB recruit in the country as a 17/18 year old...   No wait, I like thinking about the things I would have done in that situation.
