DEBUNKED RUMOR: Henry Poggi scheduled to take official to Alabama
Steve Wiltfong@SWiltfong247
#Michigan commit scheduled to take official elsewhere http://michigan.247sports.com/Board/59424/Michigan-commit-scheduled-to-take-official-elsewhere-15422455 … via @247Sports #Wolverines
Paywalled. Let the hand-wringing over "The Policy" recommence.
[Ed-Ace: This was debunked by Tremendous, Sam Webb, and TomVH. So... probably no need to worry, methinks.]

Yeah, but he's one of the best players in our class at a position of major need. It would be a major loss to lose him.

I didn't expect to see this on the board when I got home. Hopefully we can get some more info soon.

Still do not know why the recruiting shows are not on at 11am-noon everyday. Best time slot for soap operas

I hope people don't believe I enjoy partaking in that part of the process. It's the most annoying, but when people ask if I can clear up something, I attempt to.

your the F****** MAN AQUAMAN!

Tremendous just tweeted this
Didn't mean to delete that tweet. People are being un-Dude about the Poggi rumors. He's all #Michigan
That's per Henry himself.

At this point - why commit before taking more visits? Why not take the visits and then commit? Why wouldn't you wait until after all of your visits before making your commitment?
How many more ways can I ask the same question? I'm that confused.
January 2nd, 2013 at 5:55 PM ^
Why not go on his visits before he makes his commitment? Why not let the visits precede the commitment, instead of the other way around? Why not let the commitment come later in the chronological sequence than the visits?
January 2nd, 2013 at 8:49 PM ^
I honestly don't know the answer to any of those questions.

That darn Morse Code!!! Kids these days and their technology!

update your post. Poggi put out the fire, he's all BLUE!!
January 2nd, 2013 at 5:43 PM ^
I am relieved. I was about to not be worried that a decommitment happened. That would have blind-sided me
January 2nd, 2013 at 6:00 PM ^
said it was "from Poggi" there must have been a clear misunderstanding on someone's part.

Damn you, remove that bug from your sig - I rolled up a paper to swat that thing before I realized it was electronic.

But I'd better not hear any complaints when I put dreads on my newly renamed donkey.
January 2nd, 2013 at 5:43 PM ^
Poggi has been playing very well from all the practice reports that I have been reading.
January 2nd, 2013 at 5:45 PM ^
Per Poggi himself - all blue, change the title

A quick follow-up comment; as long as commitments check with the coaches, they're allowed to take other EDIT: UNOFFICIAL visits. The Cass Tech kids visited Alabama this summer while traveling to a 7v7 tournament; this group included Jourdan Lewis.

It certainly paints the policy in a different light. This can't be good for the haters.

Well that's one of the more bizarre comment sequences I've seen on mgoblog. Triple posts sure, but two of them intertwined? Weird.

i believe hoke is displaying another level of genius by letting recruits visit other schools...particularly ALA. he knows coach satan is leaving for the NFL..so no worry about OUR recruits switching commitments...howeva all the alabama recruits will be ripe for the picking!

Can I haz a drink too?

Can someone edit OP's post so people aren't freaking out anymore?

Hey, if David Dawson is allowed to do it, why shouldn't everyone else?
January 2nd, 2013 at 6:21 PM ^
What do you mean allowed? I don't think they reserved his spot in the class before he recommitted.
January 2nd, 2013 at 6:24 PM ^
January 3rd, 2013 at 5:37 AM ^
No, they didn't. They just re-offered him a few weeks later, and he re-committed after taking that one visit. It really didn't hurt Dawson at all.

sarcastically responding to your self?
