It's nice to hear stories that put things in perspective. That was incredibly courageous. A true hero, especially when that word gets tossed around too often these days.

It's one of those things you hope you'd be willing to do in that situation, but you have no idea until you're actually there. Hopefully none of us will ever have to make a decision like that.

For all the negative press college football and it's participants get, it is great to see an uplifting story like this one. It goes a long way to inspire.

What an awesome young man. A person his age being thrust into a situation like that and acting in the manner he did is amazing. Most people his age are very selfish and overall are most concerned with themselves. To think first about his family members and little kids on the bus, and hoping the girl shoots him instead of them is the sign of a truly selfless young man and the word "hero" is definitely fitting in this circumstance. Well done!
