How many NBA 3 Point Contests will Nik Stauskas win?
I think he wins about 5.
Really they should put Nik in the contest this year and let him win his first.
Larry Bird and Craig Hodges lead the list with 3 wins each; Nik gonna beat that with ease.
Put Nik on his home court in Missassauga and he's unbeatable

It would be a vulgar display of his power.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:58 PM ^
None. He'll be too busy winning all the 4 point contests, which they'll create to counteract Nik's shooting dominance.
December 31st, 2012 at 5:36 PM ^
Does there really need to be a contest?
December 31st, 2012 at 6:25 PM ^
Nothing but net.
December 31st, 2012 at 2:59 PM ^
Since Nik is a freshman in college, it's pretty hard to answer this type of question.
And obligatory GLEN!!! The 1995 winner.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:01 PM ^
ALL OF THE 3 POINT CONTESTS!!!!11!!!!
December 31st, 2012 at 3:06 PM ^
you have to be in the NBA first, and he is at least 2 years away from that, so this question is kinda stupid.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:09 PM ^
They should let a couple amateurs compete every year like they do in golf; it would be a nice addition to the 3 point contest
December 31st, 2012 at 3:31 PM ^
This is actually a sort of cool idea. It would be interesting to see a year in advance what someone like Burke could do against current NBA talent. It could help NBA teams better evaluate early first round draft picks too, but obviously it's not likely to happen.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
only if the NCAA can take in cash from it then not give any to the players.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:09 PM ^
Who cares. He is a freshman in college right now.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:10 PM ^
Im gonna say at least 10 in a row.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:37 PM ^
That right, we're talking a minimum eight-peat
December 31st, 2012 at 3:43 PM ^
I will say 12, but not in a row.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:30 PM ^
I agree. In fact none of them will be in a row.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Casey Jacobsen win?
December 31st, 2012 at 3:29 PM ^
Cart before the horse, much?
December 31st, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
Same number as Jon Diebler.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:35 PM ^
Will he put them on the same mantle next to Ron Powlus' Heismans? Come on now. The kid is a freshman.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:39 PM ^
Beano Cook would say at least 4.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:42 PM ^
Eleventy billion
December 31st, 2012 at 3:42 PM ^
Has there ever been a perfect score in the three point competition? Stauskas could do that.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:44 PM ^
The hurricane is also named Stauskas.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:47 PM ^
The heisman first.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
Good thing we have a football game tomorrow..
December 31st, 2012 at 3:50 PM ^
Fuck the NBA. Keep away from my team. The NBA is like a gang of termites to college basketball. We can revisit this in 4 years when he is drafted after graduating from Michigan.
There are bigger things to worry about than what guys on this team are going to do in their post-Michigan careers. B1G plays is in 3 days.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:59 PM ^
This guy gets it. We all have to stay focused on the game this Thursday. Speaking of, I want everyone in bed by 9pm and no drinking tonight, we've got a big game to sit and watch tomorrow, its going to take everyone's best effort.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:56 PM ^
For sure. But I fear that after the first few he will get bored and migrate to the dunk contest.
December 31st, 2012 at 3:57 PM ^
Limited time + multiple shot locations + having to grab the ball off a rack + longer shot + facing guys who get paid millions to be better at shooting 3s than anyone else = ...
I think it's far fetched to say he's that good just yet and there's something about the 3 pt contest that makes even the best shooters in the world stumble. For now, I'm just happy we have a 3pt shooter like him on our team and that he's got a few years before this is even a relevant topic.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:06 PM ^
The real question is how many gold medals will he win? In hockey. Probably a ton, since (a) he's Canadian, and (b) hockey is a low scoring sport where a 3-pointer would be super valuable.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
This will someday be replaced by a replica of a Nik Stauskas jumper as the NBA Logo. Sorry Jerry West
December 31st, 2012 at 4:11 PM ^
You've now placed a huge fucking jinx on Stauskas. He'll probably sprain his testicles or get arrested for running guns and women to Turkmenistan.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:18 PM ^
Turkish prison isn't as fun as it sounds.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:23 PM ^
Turkey is not the same as Turkmenistan. Turkmenistani prisons are quite lovely, actually.
December 31st, 2012 at 5:05 PM ^
Trust you? Do you have some first hand experience in a Turkish prison? Turkmeni prison?
December 31st, 2012 at 11:18 PM ^
At least I didn't say Kurdish prison, now those are fantastic!
December 31st, 2012 at 4:16 PM ^
"The Crown Royal Nik Stauskus three point contest trophy".
Nevermind
December 31st, 2012 at 4:22 PM ^
after I was wondering how many Heismans Shane Morris will win. I say both win at least 5
December 31st, 2012 at 4:23 PM ^
Eleven.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:34 PM ^
One. Then they will ban him from the contest to make it fair to the other players.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:45 PM ^
45 of 50
December 31st, 2012 at 4:52 PM ^
Who wins?
And by the way, the name of the hurricane is Hurrican Ditka
December 31st, 2012 at 5:02 PM ^
Hurrican Ditka loses. Hurricane Ditka wins.
December 31st, 2012 at 4:53 PM ^
I thought he was in college? And has only played 13 games?
Sheesh..where have I been?
December 31st, 2012 at 4:59 PM ^
I am honestly an extremely optimistic person, but let the kid enjoy college before jumping the gun
December 31st, 2012 at 5:03 PM ^
NO. He needs to win it this year or he's a bust.
December 31st, 2012 at 6:34 PM ^
Slow down a little there pal, let him finish his freshman year. I personally want him balling here for 4 years.
December 31st, 2012 at 7:28 PM ^
Note the spelling Gord. Having spent Boxing Day in Mississauga I alerted the locals to the exploits of their native son. They are actively seeking sites for the 3 pt contest
December 31st, 2012 at 8:33 PM ^
Zero.
January 1st, 2013 at 12:49 AM ^
May never even make a NBA Roster
