MSU is taking on WMU at 3:30 pm at the Joe as Michigan prepares to play Mich Tech @ 7. Huge games for all 3 CCHA teams tonight.

It's funny, I totally thought the "fall down constantly and whiff on shots like Happy Fucking Gilmore" strategy would work like a charm, but I guess not

2-0 tech. michigan has not looked good from what i've seen. they just got some good pressure late in the period. let's hope they keep that going into the 2nd.

I expect a MAJOR FUCKING TURN AROUND in the 2nd period. I'm on the verge of just sticking to the basketball game cause this is horse shit.

The cherry on top of flurrying the Tech net for 5 minutes with no goals is Guptill taking the most blatant and idiotic tripping penalty I've ever seen

This season is over if they don't win this game. The remaining schedule is brutal.

I wish Mel was still on the staff. I really think him leaving had a huge effect on this program. Perhaps when Red retires whenever he feels the time is right, they can bring Mel back.

Fuck tech. Should have started a brawl. Would've been fine with me. Show some emotion and bust some skulls.

This team is horrible and there are no Red Wings to watch. Its lose lose. We can't score on the fucking power play to save our lives. I gave this team another chance this year after that WMU 3 weeks ago but they have shit the bed. I'm not watching horrible puck play this year. I saw nothing that impressed me tonight unlike previous games. This team has 0 will to play with intensity with the talent they have. I can wait till 2013. This is pathetic.

"When your team is winning, be ready to be tough, because winning can make you soft. On the other hand, when your team is losing, stick by them. Keep believing" -Bo Schembechler

You sound like someone who turned off games when the football team was struggling and quit altogether when the basketball program was down. You should be ashamed of yourself.

These players need us as fans now more than ever. To show up to games and cheer them on and be that 6th man on the ice. It was humiliating hearing tech fans dub in their own stupid little cheers during the pep band playing Lets Go Blue.

Michigan has been a DYNASTY for 22 straight seasons. Most programs would KILL for that kind of success. To not have a losing season and not miss the NCAA Tournament for over 2 decades is amazing. You think good hockey programs with history like minnesota, BC, colorado college, wisconsin and hell even TECH wouldn't trade Michigan's success with their standings?

That success has made us very spoiled fans. Like I said back in 2008 regarding football, now is the time where we find out who the REAL fans are.

Michigan has been successful over the past two decades.  But dynasty?

Making the tournament every year does not a dynasty make.  Dynasties win championships.  We did, twice, with two incredible teams (and one sandwiched in the middle that was better than both and came up short).  Then we followed it up with almost fifteen years of a bunch of teams that by every right should have finished the job too.  And never did.  Year after year, another tournament flameout where we looked either disinterested or scared.  We've been a perennial underachiever when it counts for much of these past two decades.  It's sad, but true.

So let's acknowledge this has been a great run, but a dynasty?  I don't know about that.

Judging success based on single elimination hockey is like saying someone is good at the lottery.

But ye gods, were we awful last night.  Michigan Fans (what little showed up) sucked too.  Way quieter than Tech fans, even before things to bad.  Unpopular opinion warning: I don't think Yost is that frightening anymore.  It's more a party and less of an atmosphere of sociopathy and cruelty devoted to pissing off the opponent.  It would never make a cheerleader cry these days.

As for actual team stuff, I think losing Coach Pearson was a big factor.  I also think this team does not have any leadership from the players themselves and cannot hold people accountable.  Especially Guptill, who is lazy and has awful body language right now.

This is the worst Michigan team I've ever seen. There hasn't been any life on the bench or ice the entire game. Either Red has lost it, or this team has no player leadership. Either way they are just plain pathetic.

This is a fucking nightmare. At least they get state tomorrow. Just beat them. Please. So I can be happy about this team this year once.

I don't know what you guys are talking about. I think this is the best Michigan team I've seen in years.
