Pinstripe/Fight Hunger/Alamo Bowl Open Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on
Put them together because they all overlap, and who wants to flip from thread to thread for each game? Particularly when we all stop watching at 7 pm for the Michigan basketball open thread. BWW thread later should be separate because lots of people will watch the Spartans late night after our game vs. Central. If a mod thinks we need 3 threads for games on ESPN and the Deuce at the same time he can break it up.

I wish Michigan could get another crack at the Alamo Bowl. Pisses me off that they should have won both times they went to it but didn't.

I'm hungry for some interesting bowl games, far and few in-between every year anymore.

Also, it feels like forever since M BBall has played, can't wait to enjoy that game, the more I watch CBB Teams out there the more I like our chances to win it all.

If nothing else, they cared enough to uncover the hash marks, yard lines and numbers, and of course, the corporate logos, shining like a beacon in the otherwise nasty weather. Most thoughtful, although the Yankee Stadium groundskeeper may need to go on stress leave when they see how this field is being torn up.

I was just about to say, "Remember when Geno was the can't-miss Heisman frontrunner?"

Wow.

It all went downhill so quickly after that win at Texas. Granted...they had some tough opponents, and lost some very close games (Oklahoma, for one), but still...the Big 12 hammer came down pretty hard after a Cinderella beginning.

It should be perhaps mentioned at this point that the last productive game for West Virginia was against Kansas State, where they managed a mere (in their case, looking at season totals) 243 yards of total offense. At the present average rate, they'll end up around 300 yards - their average total offense in their losses was 449 yards.

so I am done with this loss. Shouldn't of picked AF or WVU. Oh well. Just want Michigan to win their bowls along with the rest of the B10 except State.

is a clear example of why I'd rather have a great defense before offense. Don't get me wrong, I love offense and being able to move the ball in a balanced attack.

But damn, you gotta be able to stop people.
