saw this quite absurdly awesome headline at CNN. Damn viagra.

Ohio just got the ball and is already about to score.
December 28th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
I forgot about Ohio. They give the MAC a chance at a second victory and a 2-4 record.
December 28th, 2012 at 2:34 PM ^
with a win. So far there has been losses by Toledo, Ball St and Bowling Green and a win by Central Michigan

He was implying that NIU has no chance in the BCS game.

Go Bobcats!!!

Any mascot who takes down a buckeye is good by me. Great offensive series.

I picked ULM in this one. Great.
December 28th, 2012 at 2:35 PM ^
I did too, which is why my picks are called [Brown Juggernaut]'s Terrible Picks.

Vegas was a bit off on this one.

cause of their recent success in their previous two bowl games and MAC championship a year ago. They have become a solid program.

Mickey Tettleton's son Tyler is a pretty solid player for Ohio. He's done a pretty good job for them the last two years. Got a chance to see him in the MAC Championship loss against NIU last year and seemed to be a good player. I expected the conference to be doing a little better so far. After this game there are two more MAC teams playing.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:00 PM ^
they did lose that game. I have so many friends that go to Ohio U on my facebook they were blowing up my wall so bad that it looked like Ohio had won. I don't pay a whole lot of attention to MAC schools.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:04 PM ^
My brother goes to NIU so I've been to the last 3 MAC championships and as long as Michigan and NIU aren't playing at the same time I'll go out to Dekalb to watch NIU play. I don't mind the MAC. They tend to have quite a few high scoring and exciting games. I'll be headed to the Orange Bowl next week which should be interesting.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:11 PM ^
Idk about that game. I can see Florida St blasting them apart in the end. I think it might be one of those close at first and then out of reach in the 2nd half.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:20 PM ^
I'm a realistic guy haha. I know that NIU winning is highly unlikely but it was a situation where they'll probably never have this opportunity again so I needed to make the trip down. Plus you can't beat south beach on New Years. Was originally hoping the Outback Bowl was earlier in the day on the 1st because I would have tried to make both games by going to Tampa and Miami. As it stands now its too tight so I won't be able to make it.

ULM will prevail! This play-by-play guy eerily has a similar sound to Tom Hammond...you all know who I mean.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:22 PM ^
I was thinking the same thing
December 28th, 2012 at 3:15 PM ^
It looks like he got the first down.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:18 PM ^
Lesson: teach your defensive lineman the value of high and tight.

"Boy, things have gotten interesting quickly. Or as a great man once said, 'That escalated quickly.'"
These announcers are awesome

When you have the ball at the one-yard line, why drop back to pass? A running play will almost certainly not lose you 10 yards.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:42 PM ^
...why the hell did they not attempt a field goal instead of a touchdown on fourth and goal from inside the 20 yard line? They are only down 24-7 and a field goal certainly helps in that situation.
December 28th, 2012 at 3:48 PM ^
Going for two bowl wins in a row! Makes me wish I was at Tony's or the Pub watching the game.
December 28th, 2012 at 4:03 PM ^
I like how the Bobcats have decided to in fact go big, vs. the alternative of going home
December 28th, 2012 at 4:22 PM ^
The Blankenship-Tettleton "Norman Connection" really has worked like a charm for the Bobcats all year, it seems. They do make a pretty good QB-RB combination.
And with that, Browning is safe at second for a first down. Nice baseball slide.

Woo OHIO keeps me alive in my bowl pool! I'm now just 1 game back of most people and 2 back of the leader. Still a tough hill to climb. There's a lot of people that are one game ahead of me and this was the last really big chance I had to jump a lot of them at once. Pitt is my next chance to jump a bunch of people and Rutgers tonight give me a chance to jump a few.
It's been ugly, but I live on.
