he was pretty sure I had torn my ACL, which is obviously a longer-term recovery after some pretty invasive (for a knee) surgery; when I got the MRI results back yesterday it turns out I have a torn lateral meniscus and I'll be in and out of surgery in half an hour and my knee will be structurally capable of running the next day. Pretty much exactly the news I was hoping for.

Watching Baylor pass against UCLA, I have to ask if Jim Mora has been itching to try out some of Jim  Knowles' theories on man coverage, because it works so well for Duke, right?

Florence throws a 0.10 down the sideline for a 55 yard TD.  21-0 Baylor.

I only have 3 Two-Hearted left.   Should I pursuade my sister to drive me to the 24 hour Meijer down the road?

that the Big 12 was really good this year, that the defenses (except WVU) weren't as bad as they seemed, it's just that they were going up against devastating offenses.

K-State/Oregon will be the big test. But this has been pretty convincing so far.

Looks like Baylor was a better place for Lache Seastrunk. The guy can flat out run. Should be interesting to see what type of numbers he puts up after saying he's gonna win the Heisman

If I were the program director here, I'd insist upon as many cheesy bear-related lines as possible from the announcing crew: "Just when the Bruins appeared roused from their hibernation, the Bears' pass rush pounced on Hundley like he was made of honey."
