From their site... The green "V" is featured on all Fresno State student-athletes' uniforms, including inside the blue stripe on the back of Fresno State's football helmets. The mark can also be found on the dog collar of the Bulldogs' logo and throughout the Department of Athletics. The "V" symbolizes Fresno State's pride in representing the San Joaquin Valley and the color green was selected to honor the importance of the agriculture industry to the region. The university is one of the most prominent agriculture schools in the nation and the world's richest agricultural area in export dollars

except there isn't any jhackney and OMG Shirtless is either absent or lurking, and M-Wolverine didn't make the thread. So not a whole lot like two years ago I guess. Either way, Merry Christmas BD.

Also, I can't believe that was so long ago; those were the threads that got me hooked on MGoBoard as opposed to reading the front page and a couple threads.

I happened to exchange a couple emails with him last year and I've been meaning to send him one and ask what the deal was, but he was pretty adament that he wouldn't be posting here any more. If I had to guess, it's more of the same stuff that led to BiSB leaving his mod duties; he had a long post in BiSB's retirement thread about his perception of the MGoBoard lately, and it wasn't exactly rosy.

I miss the freeform approach to thread creation that we enjoyed in days of yore. Nowadays I mostly skim the comments for my favorite posters and point out when ridiculously awful things happen for my own amusement. Tennis season is coming up again and our new transfers could really perform well with their fancy top-100 rankings.

Now if only some random med school would offer me a spot in their next class...

Well, Fresno State just showed the world another example of how it is quite possible to defeat yourself on an  offensive drive by getting sacked and then sacked again and allowing a safety. You have to wonder if the conversation on the sideline sounds like, "Failing blocks, perhaps on the next drive we could work our way to throwing the ball before we are pummeled...". Small steps for the Fresno State offense, right?
