Harrison for EMU is just fading away on every shot and making all of them. I guess we get everyone's best because we are Michigan fergodsakes!

More proof people want to watch this team...Santa is at the game instead of prepping for Tuesday!

Interesting note...

Burke and Thjr combined for 10/27 shooting (2/10 from 3pt)

Rest of the team was 25/42 (10/14 from 3pt)

Seemingly, our 2 best players had somewhat off games and we won by 39 - not too shabby.

In short - we played one of our better games of the year when you consider the defense we were going up against.

McGary came of age tonight, he's only going to get better. Next year, he'll be very good...I think his Junior year, Hansborough status.

No recap from me, we play outstanding --- my only snowflake is that THJ played waaay too many minutes in the 2nd half. With that said, he had a #beastmode dunk after struggling the previous 4-5 minutes.

I thought the rotations in the first half were literally perfect - I also liked leaving McGary in during the 2nd half even when he was tired. He had to learn how to maintain the way he plays through the fatigue and I thought he did a tremendous job.

Oh, 2nd snowflake...MOAR McLimans. Not sure why he didn't get in until the very end. I like his game, when he did get in, he played extremely well in mop up duty.

Again, nothing to truly complain about, we handled business and I think playing a game vs. a funky defense is going to help us down the road. We could face a Syracuse in the Elite 8 or something and playing EMU tonight will only help.

We simply have too many weapons...we have 6 guys that are All-Conference calibur. Toss in LeVert for some good minutes, Horford, Max B and McLimans as serviceable big men and a heady backup PG...not sure what anyone can do.

Again, I think Duke and Indiana are the only teams that can truly play with us. Not saying we can't be beat, but those two are the only ones that I think would give us a run if we played best of 9, 11, etc.

Great win - GO BLUE!

Great day for Michigan Basketball.

Women's team destroyed valpo 73-32 and the Men beat down eastern like they should.

Michigan is now 50-8 all-time when ranked AP #2.

Kind of had a shock wave shoot through my brain when the BTN announcer said Michael Talley. Brought back memories of from a long time ago. I guess his son is on EMU now.

I remember all the recruiting buzz about the 7ft Riley. He has an athletic build but is pretty useless at both ends of the court.

I also can't imagine how bad Purdue must be.

Lots of the usual UM positives but I am concerned about Spike's inability to play point and how Vogrich has totally disappeared. Don't even want to think about what this team would be like if Burke gone to the NBA.

FInally good size crowd and always love hearing the alumni band.

but Vogrich was Stauskas (one of the top 3 point shooters) in high school and part of his freshman year. It is "nice" that he can be not used and UM doesn't appear to need him now, but I think his problems are all between the ears - no shooter's confidence anymore. I would have liked to see him play a few more minutes in garbage time and try to run plays to force him to shoot.

The difference between IU and UM ... UM runs great plays and has a multitude of sets, and they just so happen to be loaded with talent. IU is loaded with talent, and struggles to score when they can't outrun the other team. Zeller runs the floor and cherry picks. That is their #1 play. When that doesn't work, it's usually Hulls or Watford jacking up a shot. Rarely do they run a nice play that involves getting Zeller one or more touches on the block. If Zeller continues to struggle from the free throw line, they are a very beatable team. Bottom line, Michigan is coached very well.

to be sure, and Beilein is a good coach. Burke also deserve great deal of credit for managing the game as well as any PG. Loved when Beilein took Stauskas out after his behind the back pass late in the game yesterday... I wish our bigs played defensively as well as Indiana's. Our bigs also need to finish stronger offensively. Not sure we have a player like Victor Oladipo either that is our shut down defensive guard. UM IU will be a great matchup and it will be mostly about our open outside shots falling.
