September 1 Offers - Class of 2011
With the commotion of this week, and the anticipation of our first game Saturday(!) it seems to be getting harder and harder to follow everything UM related.
I don't remember seeing anything about this yet, but i know that September 1 was the first day we could officially offer 2011 prospects.
There were rumors about DeAnthony Arnett, Doran Grant and probably some others i've never even heard of. I'm also going to assume just that based on proximity, mobility, and hype we've also offered Braxton Miller.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I assume most guys that already had verbal offers (Arnett, Miller, Greg Brown, Demetrius Hart, etc.) got them yesterday. I know Hart in particular has specifically said "My offer will come in the mail September 1st."

Didn't Hart say he would commit as soon as he got an official offer?

did receive a written offer yesterday.

I have only seen 2 recruits with a confirmed written offers so far in Chris Rock, no not that one and Braxton Miller. Rock is an OH DE/DT, sounds pretty open in the few quotes I have seen.
Scout lists, 12, 2011 recruits with offers but they include verbal offers and those don't always guarantee an offer. Here's their list http://michigan.scout.com/a.z?s=162&p=9&c=4&yr=2011
When Trey DePriest was interviewed by whatever espn affiliate he didn't say anything about a UM offer which was a bit surprising. Ohio is going to have some more great recruiting battles next year

I counted Doran Grant, OH CB, as well but he has a MSU offer listed not UM, wouldn't be surprised if he is offered though.

Florida OT Tyler Moore received a written offer, though our chances appear to be slim to none. His father and other relatives played at Nebraska, so they appear to be the team to beat. According to his father, Tyler's top four are Nebraska, Florida, Ohio State, and Penn State.
