Janecyk is starting in goal tonight, one last effort to light a fire under this team.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:21 PM ^
Is it possible that Janecyk can be the new Hunwick...

Any good?
December 15th, 2012 at 6:17 PM ^
I have Shorts "The Liberator" and New Holland "Dragon's Milk" in the fridge... its going to be a good night! Go Blue!
December 15th, 2012 at 6:46 PM ^
So. Much. Win.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:51 PM ^
its seriously one of the most underrated beers ever. Its so delicious I think it might be on par with KBS, but so much less hyped and around all year.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:03 PM ^
I had Dragon's Milk a couple of nights ago...tasted like a boilermaker made with a good stout, with a heavily oaked scotch dropped in.
Great for a cold night...but gosh it had a kick.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:48 PM ^
Dragons milk is better Than KBs, and I am by no means a biased Michigander... I'm a wisconsinite
December 15th, 2012 at 7:13 PM ^
That stuff is effing delicious.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:22 PM ^
It's from Adam Carolla's podcast, enjoy the show thought I'd buy some. It's basically Sangria with Vodka in it. Got me through an early Christmas with the in-laws.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:57 PM ^
Would love to see Carolla again but don't have the energy for a podcast

Chocolate Bock out of the Sam Adams winter sampler.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:54 PM ^
I almost bought the sampler as well.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:07 PM ^
Almost like a coffee stout, but a little lighter. Tastes a little bit coffee-like but that's because of the dark chocolate. If you like dark chocolate you'd probably like this. Me, I get the sampler for the Old Fezziwig and the Winter Ale, but of course the rest of it is solid enough too.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:04 PM ^
I love that one.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:30 PM ^
The Sam Adams Winter Sampler makes my life.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:26 PM ^
I checked Duke's schedule to see if they had any tough games coming up. Answer: nope. They will likely be undefeated for several more weeks.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:49 PM ^
Amazing what one will do for rankings that don't mean anything in a sport that hardly uses them.
But it would have been nice. Taking care of business vs. WV is all that really matters.

New Belgium "Snow Day." Visiting friends and waiting for 8pm to get here. Go Blue!
December 15th, 2012 at 6:26 PM ^
But I feel like they might give the Florida/ Arizona winner #2. Well at least if its Florida winning on the road
December 15th, 2012 at 6:36 PM ^
I don't think that would happen. Maybe if we had gone down in the polls at some point, even while winning, but that hasn't happened. If we win we will definitely be #2, especially if we have a strong showing against WVU.

Crown Royal, splash of water, wedge of lime.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:27 PM ^
Dealing with an annoying cousin by downing a Murphy's Stout. I've also had some Goose Island Christmas Ale, Short's Huma Lupa Liscous, some Bell's White Winter Ale and a couple glasses of a Spanish red. Hopefully moving on to Irish coffee after this gift exchange is over.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:55 PM ^
I had the Goose Island Christmas Ale earlier this afternoon and it put me in the holiday mood
December 15th, 2012 at 6:41 PM ^
Great Lakes Christmas Ale and Short's Good Humans
December 15th, 2012 at 6:45 PM ^
Huma Lupalicious for me, too. I picked up a couple sixes yesterday at Meijer and had a total savings of nearly $5!!!
Probably shoulda gotten a couple cases and bumped my savings up to $20 and financed Christmas shopping that way.
;-)

tonight.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:42 PM ^
Wow I wish I didn't have to work tonight, I really don't want to miss this game. The Watch ESPN app is a joke, I can't believe they don't have directv as a provider or even dish. Sure it's probably contractual, but c'mon man. All I have is my phone for updates so I guess I'll be relying on mgoblog and the mgoblue.com audio. Unless someone has a way of streaming the game on the iPhone???
December 15th, 2012 at 6:44 PM ^
Off to a local italian restaurant; will be having some prosecco in honor of the future #2 MBB team
December 15th, 2012 at 6:44 PM ^
Coors light and lots of it.
Go Blue
December 15th, 2012 at 6:49 PM ^
Having some Grannysmith Woodchuck Cider as I wait for Michigan hoops. I would be more excited except my father-in-law had surgery for two bulging lumbar vertebrae today, so we've spent much of today dealing with that. All of us went to visit earlier today for a while, but my wife, as she works at the same hospital, will visit on her own on break later.
As always, Go Blue!
December 15th, 2012 at 6:52 PM ^
Hope all goes well.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:58 PM ^
I hope everything is okay! thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery
December 15th, 2012 at 7:04 PM ^
To be kinda a medical dork, it was probably surgery for bulging lumbar vertebral discs. To get to the discs, you typically chip away a bit of the back portion of the vertebra.
You can have surgery to the vertebrae themselves, but typically it's only for infection or a retropulsed fragment from a vertebral compression fracture.
Good luck to your father in law.

About to crack a Founders Breakfast Stout. Can't wait for this game to start. Go Blue!

Thread Jack, is anyone else having trouble with gifs playing in Chrome?
December 15th, 2012 at 6:53 PM ^
on my laptop (long-time satisfied Firefox user), but do have it (pre-installed) on my MotoAtrix HD Android phone, and I do have more than enough problems, enough that it has me considering replacing it with MobileFirefox.

Dolphin browser on Android is the way to go.

Picked up some Jolly Pumpkin last night (really happy I can get it in GR). Got some of the Noel, Bam Noire, and the Weizen Bam (sp?). Finished the Noel earlier, but I'm definitely looking forward to the others tonight.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:54 PM ^
I love the Noel. Good pickup.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:00 PM ^
Good Choice, Jolly Pumpkin makes some great beers! (I dont think I can say it enough, but we are so lucky to have all these great brewerys in our state ie. Founders, Shorts, Bells, Jolly Pumpkin, New Holland, list goes on and on...)
My favorite Jolly Pumpkin is La Roja or Calabaza Blanca. Both are fantastic!
December 15th, 2012 at 7:22 PM ^
Agreed on La Roja, terrific. I think the Noel is my favorite, but that might be because it's what I had the my first time out in Ann Arbor when I got there as a grad student. Won't claim it's the absolute best, but it's my favorite beer of all time mostly for sentimental reasons.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:36 PM ^
I was actually outside of Jolly Pumpkin today debating to go in and buy some Noel, but I decided just to pick up a bottle from my local beer store. I have heard good things, and I definitely am buying a bottle to split with the family on Christmas.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:40 PM ^
It's unique, which I like.
Also, if you're a fan of sour beers and ever get a chance to try Russian River's, do it. Not sure they're available outside of California/the west coast, but they're phenomenal, and the Noel reminds me of them.
December 15th, 2012 at 7:03 PM ^
Now I need to STOP drinking.
December 15th, 2012 at 6:55 PM ^
Was drinking it before b/c i feel like it
December 15th, 2012 at 7:07 PM ^
Got 6 more of the Budweiser Project 12's. They're not terrible I suppose. Go Blue!
December 15th, 2012 at 7:15 PM ^
thought you were saying we are #2 in the nation at drinking. I could buy that.
