The B1G has been making an argument to be the best conference in volleyball in recent years.
5 of the last 6 NCAA championships have been won by Penn State (2007-2010) and Nebraska (2006).

And wasn't Illinois just in the title game last year or two years ago? I seem to recall them losing to UCLA in the title game

They've got 3 in there, and Sparty unexpectedly beat UCLA (top 10 team) before losing to us last night. While the post above is correct, about PSU and Neb cleaning up the championships lately, I'd say there's still been a fight to get the Big as DEEP as the PAC.
The PAC accounted for 5 of the top 7 in the year end rankings, that's domination. However, It's been great this year to see SO MANY top notch Big teams: PSU, Neb, OSU, Minny were all top 15, and no one is as hot as Michigan right now.
Hopefully the Big Ten will continue to make up ground - continually wining Championships is definitely helping.

Win the first set and anything can happen. Stanford has us on experience and talent I assume, but we're on a hot streak and that has to count for something (though you could say all teams remaining are on a hot streak). Go Blue!!

in the country (Stanford), sporting a 25-3 record, one doesn't have to mention you're on a "hot streak" of your own. However, they haven't had a challenge lately, having played Jackson State, Western Kentucky, and Iowa State so far in the tourny, winning 3-0 in all of them.
Maybe we catch them coasting a little, but it'd have to be early. Get set 1 under our belt and see how they respond. It'll be a fight for sure.

The Michigan of the West is going down. Count it.
We have their number in the tourney recently (pulled off an upset last year in the second round, if I recall...)

Doesn't matter because in the long run Penn State will win it all again since they are in dyansty mode. Its gonna be 5 titles in 6 years. Nice win over State btw. Huge volleyball fan here.

Doesn't matter? The Michigan volleyball team has never made it to the Final Four, so just doing that would be a historic accomplishment.

nice to see us play better in the second and get the win. Obvious that Stanford can outhit us at will, can't afford cheap mistakes...
