I personally like Gruden.  He's enthusiastic, he's positive, and I think he makes interesting comments and insights.  And, even when he says something negative about a guy he seems to do so in a productive/encouraging way.  He never seems to bash anyone.  So, either way he will have some good things to say about Michigan I think.

I was hoping for Brad Nessler. On such a busy day, however, we could have done a lot worse. I agree Tirico doesn't have the voice for it. Gruden is annoying, but sometimes his over the top analysis is hilarious. This game is basically going to be a Gruden droolfest about Lewan, Clowney & Denard.

My favorite all time play by play crew (at least on national TV, locally I'm a homer--no one touches Mario/Rod and Mickey/Ken) was Gary Thorne and Bill Clement.

YES. I love Gruden. I can't wait to hear his analysis mixed with nonsensical [unconfirmed] nicknames.
"Denard Robinson is a foot-ball player. They call this guy 'The Razor', because he's always talkin' about animals!"

Gruden is good friends with Coach Spurrier, and has visited our practices several times in the past. He also has a home in the Tampa area.  I know that doesn't really matter much, but I'm sure he's happy to be able drive to the ballpark and sleep in his own bed.

Love Gruden's passion and Tirico's sensibility.

On TV, Gruden is not funny and adds little insight into the game.  I don't need nor care what a color guy's opinion on anything is (including gun control).  I'd like you to explain why something worked or didn't work and suggest things I should look out for.  He is relatively poor at that within a group of people who are very disappointing.

I'd dump this group for another random pull from the bag of announcing teams.

Love the selection.  I like Tirico PBP and I love me some Gruden (I guess I get why some don't neccesarily enjoy the man doing games, but I always enjoy broadcasts with him).

we won't have a "Buckeye Homer" like Spielman announcing.  Now if they can get rid of Robert Smith out of the studio, I might be able to watch the ESPN without wanting to throw something at the TV!

These are two great announcers, but I prefer having college dudes call college games. Gruden is awesome and sometimes Tirico does college games, but not as many as he used to.

A great team of announcers that don't dumb it down and call it like it is. Tirico may make a Zingerman's reference but that doesn't make him a bad guy. Can't wait to see if Borges learned anything and becomes more "creative".

Are some people seriously complaining that we got the Monday Night Football crew? I think it will be interesting to see how they cover the Lewan Clowney matchup; I mean its a matchup that they might cover someday on Monday Night

Good commentary. Anything is better than the Big Ten Network commentary if you ask me... l wanted to hammer tacks into my ears.

I'll be waiting for Gruden to say something like, "I LOVE this guy, Denard Robinson. He's as fast as car. I call this guy Speed Racer because he's always mach 5."
