We play an ACTUAL FOOTBALL GAME in 4 fucking days and what is RR forced to do? Go on a goddamn media tour thanks to the FREEP. Thanks, motherfuckers. It's not like he should be spending time devising strategies, watching films, or anything like that, right? Fuck you, Rosenberg.

and it makes me mad that people care about this. It's spoken English. He should have said comfort level. Fine. Thankfully, he is a football player and not an English teacher. Anyway, he handled the questions well and did not reveal any new information.

I am not trying to police english here. I think coach RR comes across in an open and "down to Earth" way, which is refreshing. My mind just wanders to a certain former president with words like that.

RR uses a lot of what I will call "Southernisms." Sorta like the reaction when Brandin Hawthorne (I think) says, "I'm a get ya," as in "I'm (gonn)a get you." Southern idiom and contractions are often misunderstood to the point of stereotype by Northerners. I learned this lesson when taken to task by a Southerner who used the word, "vicariously." When I repeated the word with a tone that said, "I didn't know you knew that big of a word," he went off. He started with "Do y'all think everyone who lives down here is a Beverly Hillbilly?" He continued with "We have schools down here, and people get four-points just like they do up north." That was the last time I ever stereotyped a Southerner for his accent, contractions, or syntax. The only Southerners I stereotype at this point are those who use the phrase, "The War of Northern Aggression." I have never heard RR refer to the Civil War as "TWoNA," so I refuse to stereotype him.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: how Skip could turn out to be such a jag-off idiot and yet his brother turn out so awesome is beyond me. Sharp actually said if their season last year wasn't as bad, it wouldn't be that big an issue. If they are doing this for the student athletes, it shouldn't matter the record. He also says the biggest problem is the divisiveness between Rodriguez and the traditionalists. I thought the problem was supposed to be over working the players? He's really showing his true colors here. He doesn't really care about the (supposed) infractions at all, and you can tell.

Of course the former tag team partner on Sportscenter comes through for Big Blue. DP is honest and the best thing about his laughter at Sharp in about three spots was what he really wanted to say. "This is the dumbest fucking story every to make the national media, perpetrated by a bunch loser journalists from Detroit." Lucky for us journalism like Sharp's is being eliminated worldwide by the internet, faster than this shitty economy ended I-Banking.

I thought it was hilarious how Sharp's voice sounded like he was terribly nervous. Also how he still thinks that Weis is under more pressure than RR because of Urban Meyer. Freep is just flat out redic. Gotta love the integrity filled people they employ.

... more talk about the team and the season; only a bit about the media firestorm (I missed the first few minutes). He did work in the GPA record. The host, UM grad Dana Jacobson, kept things moving. After RichRod signed off, she ended the segment noting that WVa looked at records from the RR era and things looked in order, with no reports of compliance concerns.

Drew Sharp talked about 2 freshmen being asked questions at media day, then he said there were "6 current and former players." So basically he's saying the 2 current players are those 2 freshmen, and the other 4 are former players. Why are people still harping on current players going to the enemy and telling them they're working too hard? I don't get it. The 2 current players' comments were taken out of context, and the other 4 guys could be anybody, and with the number of transfers we've had, I wouldn't be surprised if all those 4 former players transferred out.

It's also interesting to contrast Sharp's statement that the Big Issue is not the alleged practice infractions but the willingness of players to go to the media with their complaints rather than to the coach with Rosenberg's admission that no players approached him with these comments, but that he solicited them. In other words, Sharp is admitting that the controversy is wholly manufactured by the article.
