Big Ten Championship Game Open Thread
Nebraska-Wisconsin. 8:00PM EST on FOX. Gus Johnson and Charles Davis are calling the game.
Various sources have the line in favor of Nebraska by 3. If Nebraska wins, Michigan is all but assured the Capital One Citrus Bowl against A&M (likely) or Georgia, while the conversation is a bit more complicated if Wisconsin wins.

won one in their 2nd year, then reality set in.
Same will happen to Nebraska

Base it on points, or do we leave it to when Wisky scores??
December 1st, 2012 at 10:50 PM ^
Clearly going to eclipse 500 yards.
I wonder what the single game rushing record is for a team?

768—Oklahoma vs. Kansas St., Oct. 15, 1988 (72 rushes)

Yeah but that was under Barry Switzer, right? I wonder what the rushing record is that DOESN'T involve one of the dirtiest, cheating programs of all time.

Yeah I hate Al Borges for inheriting a bad Oline and getting Denard injured.

when guys want to defend coaches, they blame the players.
in this case, a line that can't block doesn't have anything to do with coaching.
btw, if the defense had sucked, the same people would blame rich rod for that too.

That's gotta be a record in a game between two FBS teams.

Nebraska's team quit. Just plain quit.

I think LSU did it last year in a conference game. I think it was Kentuky

not quite taking a knee, but in the famous Snow Bowl game both Michigan and OSU punted on first down a number of times.

I've never seen a problem with running the score up at this level personally. Once you get out of high school, as long as you're playing a legit team then it's up to them to stop you.

I think if the other one was a penalty that should have been too since they touched helmets...

That Freddie hussy would probably say so, but he's off fetching his tap dancing shoes right now.

I'm not watching the game, but is Nebraska just loading the box and failing? I mean almost 500 yards rushing. How does that happen?
December 1st, 2012 at 11:02 PM ^
They get confused and out of shape from a bunch of funky Harbaugh/Stanford-style motion, then the guy who's supposed to have the backside containment on a power off tackle chases after a fake jet sweep to the opposite boundary and can't get back.
Over
and over
and over
and over again.
Anybody else have the feeling that the Wisconsin staff realized all they had to do to win their division was show up for their games, so they might as well spend the entire three months game-planning for Nebraska and Michigan?

I don't care what QB "workshop" Martinez went to this summer. That throw is just all hinky and weird.

Hinky...nice!

Insert one blade of scissors through the body wall on one side of the umbilical cord and cut posteriorly to the base of the leg as shown in the first photograph below. Continue cutting from the anterior end of this cut so that it resembles an upside-down U. Your finished cut will be anterior to the navel and along each side of the navel. The flap of body wall that contains the navel can be folded posteriorly to reveal the internal organs of the abdomen.

I hope wisconsin starts passing and tries to run the score to 84 like they did to indiana in 2010.

84?
We have plenty of time to reach 90...

December 1st, 2012 at 11:00 PM ^
This just makes me a thousand times angrier at Borges and his hinky plan for big games this year. Wisconsin started trying to run the clock out in the 1st quarter, they could end up hanging 84 on Nebraska.

Also keep in mind that this team has lost five games.
