OT PUNCH IN THE GUT-Tom Brady lost bet and wears Ohio jersey.
Apparently Mr. Brady made a bet with Vrabel and now we all shall suffer.
PER ESPN Hot Clicks/ Vrabel's Twitter:

I saw this yesterday and was deeply disturbed. Damn you, Vrabro.

Bad title. Should say Tom Brady. I thought you meant Brady Hoke and was about to call for his firing.
Picture looks photoshopped to me but what do I know.

As a fan I'm taking my medicine. This will make our win next year even better. Can't wait to see Vrabel wear Maize and Blue. I'm sure Tom's wife will make him feel better.
November 30th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
Yep. Tom Brady gets to wake up everyday and know he's Tom effing Brady still and Mike Vrabel.....well he has to wake up in Ohio every morning.

Sleeves look photoshopped. And would they be practicing in the stadium?

A real man pays his bets.

Why have I been banished to bolivia?
EDIT: I don't care about the points. Just want to know what I did.

Maybe it's because you posted a really annoying huge blank space? Either that or my computer is PMSing on me

My computer was PMSing on me.

I'd suggest asking on the Mod Action thread. You're more likely to get a response there.

But might be the political nature of the avatar.

Unequal bet. One Brady wearing Ohio is infinitely more valuable than one Brady wearing Michigan. It should have required everyone in Vrabel's graduating class to don a winged helmet for a day. Because who gives a shit about Vrabel?
November 30th, 2012 at 6:01 PM ^
I have an urge to defend Vrabel. Bill Belichick called Vrabel one of the smartest and the most versatile player he has ever coached. Vrabel was able to play OLB, ILB, DE, and TE for the Patriots, and is the only player in NFL history to have more than 6 receptions with a 100% TD rate (12 receptions for 12 TDs).
When they asked Belicheck what he thought about Vrabel's potential coaching career, he said that Vrabel could regurgitate defensive schemes the Patriots hadn't ran for 6 seasons. Also, that Vrabel's football knowledge was just downright impressive.

And thanks, I didn't know that. He still seems like mouth-breathing brah.
Regardless though, Brady wearing an Ohio jersey is ESPN/national newsworthy. If Vrabel lost, his wearing of a Michigan jersey would be news in Columbus. I doubt it would even be carried in any Michigan markets, because so few people would know who he is.

I get what you're saying, but it's probably balanced out by a loss absolutely killing Vrabel. I have a feeling Vrabel and the OSU faithful would go far more nuts with him wearing an M jersey than what is happening here.
I equate this to me making a bet with Bill Gates, where he has to pay a million if he loses and I have to pay 100k. Sure, the bet looks unfair on it's face, but losing 100k would hurt me a lot more than the million would hurt him.

She had to lead a staff meeting today while wearing an Ohio State jersey. Damn you Al Borges!
November 30th, 2012 at 8:06 PM ^
I guess it shouldn't be a surprise that the leader is the M fan. She can take solace in the fact that it's probably good for staff morale.

Is the only way you would get a person of such talent and character to don the scarlet and grey, so, I consider this equivalent to volunteering at a soup kitchen. You may not want to do it, but the world is a better place for it.
November 30th, 2012 at 5:44 PM ^
He's the BEST QB to ever put on an Ohio jersey. Still not happy about it, but at least he honored the bet.
November 30th, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
are a bit tight. Looks like Brady's "gun show" is also superior to Vrabel's feeble arms... much like his intellect, talent, looks, IQ, degree....
November 30th, 2012 at 5:50 PM ^
The OSU jersey isn't really that bad. It's at practice and just kind of looks like he's been red-shirted. The goofy Oral B shirt (wtf?) that he wore at carnival & the little dance are probably more embarrassing.
November 30th, 2012 at 5:59 PM ^
If you win Super Bowls & bang super models .... you get a free pass on basically everything.
November 30th, 2012 at 6:22 PM ^
He instantly becomes the best QB to ever wear a buckeye jersey.
EDIT: I was beaten to the same sentiment. Not like I would have read through each comment anyway....
November 30th, 2012 at 7:38 PM ^
I wouldnt say it was a punch in the gut, yes it sucks seeing him in an Ohio jersey but how much more would it suck had he NOT taken the bet?
December 1st, 2012 at 12:42 PM ^
...seeing the high-profile alums backing the program despite the risk of public indignity is always a positive thing. Better than the reaction we were seeing during the RichRod era.
November 30th, 2012 at 8:33 PM ^
Sigh....we lost fair and square. But still, this is heartbreaking to see.
November 30th, 2012 at 11:21 PM ^
Most of the guys on that team that beat us were recruited by the same cheatin' bastard that got us for seven straight years.
November 30th, 2012 at 11:28 PM ^
A great point! I never thought about that before. Sour grapes still
November 30th, 2012 at 9:42 PM ^
It burns, IT BURNS!!!!
November 30th, 2012 at 10:58 PM ^
I have seen this before, I think they have been doing this bet for a while. Unfortunately, Brady has lost it it most of the time.
December 1st, 2012 at 3:12 AM ^
Did Griese lose a bet too? On Thursday's stuido show for the Louisville-Rutgers game that tie was awful. Scarlet and grey stripes. Yuck.
December 1st, 2012 at 7:59 AM ^
Tom Brady is awesome. IIRC he made similar bets with Charlie Wies about M-ND games. I hope some day he comes back to coach at Michigan once his playing days are over.
December 1st, 2012 at 12:20 PM ^
A man pays his bets. It's a test of character, but if Tom never made good on this one, I would forgive him! Ouch!
