Well, @Adam_Schefter, if these allegations are true at Michigan, then it's like an out-of-business sale: Everything must go.about 14 hours ago from web

Really...well not too well stated Rich and Adam too... your statements appear to jump the gun and assume guilt when there is a great chance that this story was complete BS by Rosenberg.

It makes me sick how members of the media stick up for each other and post shit that they dont know anything about without looking at the facts of the situation.

Adam Sheffter chips in:

Sounds to me like it's not just Michigan HC Rich Rodriguez that is in trouble. Think Michigan AD Bill Martin is, too. He is cause of this.about 15 hours ago from UberTwitter

More assuming guilt. Whatever happened to due process?

F*ck faces.

You should post the later tweets where he talks about alumni outrage and last season being unacceptable. Apparently, Michigan alumni in the media have it out for Rodriguez.

Although, I do think expecting Rich Eisen to have read Brian's posts on the matter is a bit much. Given that he seems to dislike Rodriguez, I doubt he's a fan of Brian's work. Also he tweeted this stuff before Brian even put his post up, around noon.

Who cares what the non-supporters of Rich Rod think?

Winning will cure all the BS.

If he has his team ready to play this season and they perform well on the field, the story goes away and all will be hunky dory in Ann Arbor.

Forget all the BS and use all the negativity as bulletin board material.

that like most people who don't follow Michigan football as obsessively as most of us here do, he took the Free Press article at face value, and reacted as many Michigan fans would.
I remember when I first heard about the Ed Martin stuff. I wanted Fisher gone that second. If I heard that there were "major violations" and didn't know I was being taken for a ride by the local newspaper, I might react the same way on a twitter feed.

What is the issue with what he said?

"I mean, really. If Michigan gets its first probation ever due to cheating that STILL didn't prevent its worst season ever, can 'em all."

So if these allegations prove true (still a possibility) I'd say they should all be fired. 3-9 and NCAA violations are unacceptable, that is a fact.

If Rich goes down for this, Martin should absolutely be in the cross hairs. It was his most important hire ever, and if it goes down in flames, Martin would probably be right there with him.

And to Brodie, I am an alumnus and last season absolutely outraged me and was completely unacceptable to me. I don't see the problem with anything being commented on here other than it doesn't fall in line with the MGoBlog line.

Reminds me of cable news. They minimize the "if" and then make a statement as if it's truth...

Reporter: "If Rich Rod is a terrorist..."
Pundit: "What? Rich Rod is a terrorist?"
Reporter: "I said..."
Voice Over: "More on this breaking news after the break" (Cut to commercial, viewer changes to another channel)

It's insincere bullshit. Whatever happened to "innocent until proven guilty"? Also, whatever happened to thinking before speaking?

Let "if" happen before speculating. Don't create self-fulfilling prophecies.

How did you feel when we lost to App State with all seniors and one of the best offenses in the country?

He had a fucking walk-on starting at qb. Jesus Christ.

I work with people who were MSU walk-on football players and ya know what they haven't said a thing about this. They love to talk football and to joke around and trash Michigan yet they haven't said ONE WORD about this. Do you know why? It's because they know it's complete bs.

"If Rich goes down for this, Martin should absolutely be in the cross hairs. It was his most important hire ever, and if it goes down in flames, Martin would probably be right there with him."

IF it turns out RR skirted the practice time limits, then Martin will have failed in the most basic compliance oversight roles, and will have proven incompetent in day-to-day

That's a big IF, but if the NCAA judges that this was not legit, after Martin said their program passed an NCAA check, then his administration will be shredded.

Nonetheless, I seriously doubt this rises to the level of a violation, unless the NCAA wants to pull a Holtzian "do-right rule" out of its hat.
