walk-on LB. He played a little last year as well. Smith just moved to LB and needs to pick up the position. This isn't terribly surprising.
Also, JB Fitzgerald will likely play there a lot too as he did during the spring when Mouton was out.

Just fyi, he's also studying engineering, was a high school teammate of Mark Huyge, and is a ginger.

played on special teams last year good guy to have out there also a teamate of obi ezeh which most people do not know for some reason.

Fitzgerald would probably play WILL if Mouton got hurt. They just don't put the same guy as the backup at two positions.
