Jeff Long and Miles are buddies from their Michigan connection.  There's nothing in that tweet that mentions anything even close to Miles actually considering this.  Just that Long called up his buddy, told him he'd get a raise...and Les probably laughed his ass off and hung up the phone.

His agent must drum up offers every 2 years to get him a raise at LSU.

If he didn't want to re-start the program at UM because he preferred the easier route with his loaded program at LSU, he isn't going to Ark.

Let's see, he turned down his alma mater to remain at an elite program in LSU. I can't see his leaving LSU to go to some middle-tier, non-elite SEC team in Arkansas, especially when he cannot even pronounce "Arkansas" correctly.

that's completely realistic!  but if things don't pan out with miles, perhaps they should go after bear bryant.  or bill cowher.  or maybe a robot that's a combination of don shula, chip kelly, vince lombardi and bill parcells.

Well, this adds an interesting angle to my observation last week that Lesticles is a cross between Bo and John L. Smith. Maybe Arky's AD said, "Hey, we want another guy who's stranger than nine kinds of hell, but this time we want one who wins."

they think they can just pull anyone in with enough money despite the historical mediocrity of the program and the relatively infertile recruiting grounds of Arkansas.

From an Auburn fansite admittedly, but still succinct and to the point:

"Les Miles may not be very smart but even he is not that stupid."

In any case, LSU's sports information director reported a while ago  that Les has been informed of the tweet and has nothing to say. As for myself, I think we would have officially seen it all if this were in fact the case - it wouldn't make much sense for a 59 year-old Les Miles to make such a move now, especially to a program in  a state of flux. Nice try, Sports By Brooks.

"LSU's sports information director reported a while ago  that Les has been informed of the tweet and has nothing to say. "

Well if he is aware of the tweet and didn't respond, it is clearly not happening.

Gotta love the meaningless PR babble.  Not to say I think it will happen.
