How will you end this dark day?

Submitted by Glen Masons Hot Wife on

How are you dealing with your grief?

What happened today is depressing.  My solution is to work out.  Maybe do some cardio, watching Chizik get embarassed for the last time (guilty pleasure).

Finish work out in time to hopefully watch USC beat Notre Dame.  It would make me feel better.

It's the best I can do.

This day can be depressing.  Good luck coping everyone.

Flying home to New York.  Maybe some cocktails in the airport to drown my sorrows.  Will have a long workout tomorrow, that destresses me in a big way.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner.

Although it is a hard concept to come by as we invest so much into this game emotionally.  To say "it's just a game and there's more to life", is too easy a way out.  It is a very tough task to tackle.  It may be true, but hard nonetheless, for the already aforementioned fact that we invest so much our of emotion, spirit, physicality, etc. into this "game".

I just made some turkey soup (from the leftovers), barbecued some ribs and pulled pork. I also  picked up a case of Labatt Blue and a bottle of Jameson.

I'll be passively watching the Florida/FSU game until its time for Michigan vs Cornell and ND vs USC.

I took my dogs for an hour walk through the woods. Now I'm going to attempt to stay off this site until reason and maturity comes back and the juvenile RCMBish meltdowns subside.

By retreating gently into the horizon, and in doing so surrendering the landscape to the cool tranquility of the night.

Oh, wait. That's the Sun.

I'll be cashing this BOGO coupon at Ann Arbor Torch & Pitchfork

Write the paper due next week that I've been putting off all weekend.  And study for my exam on Thursday.

Maybe I'll get extra points for visible tears on the pages.

I heard this is a very good performance from Shannon.  I need a good movie, Prometheous and Safehouse were my last two go arounds and those were both underwhelming (to be nice about it).  I have decided that the best way to deal with a tough Michigan loss is to do something very calm and understated.  The getting wasted thing only makes the morning worse because it is literal hangover and figurative hangover mixed together.  The worst.

are done with me for this season, and that I will not have to live for the next year in Chicago with Notre Dame as the reigning National Champions.  Indeed, hopeful that I do not even have to sweat out the national championship game to confirm that fact.

I will step back and recognize that we lost all of the games that I thought we were likely to lose this season given the schedule. I will then thank the seniors for their dedication to something that I merely love from afar, but could never truly understand the effort and love that it takes to be a part of (especially in the direst of times we saw just two years ago). I will then look at the promise that lies in the underclassmen, including our incredibly talented QB.

I'll then drink. A lot.
