OT: Happy Thanksgiving thread!

Submitted by ppToilet on

I wanted to wish everyone on the board a very Happy Thanksgiving and give a place for people to say what they are thankful for, what they are drinking, where they are shopping, whether they are working and general what-not of the holiday (including whether you are happy to see the inlaws or not).

For me, I am thankful for: 1. Family 2. Michigan sports 3. See #1

Happy Thanksgiving!

I am thankful for the ability to find happiness even when I think all hope has been lost. I am also thankful to know that hope is never lost, except when we played Alabama and we found ourselves down 21-0 in the first quarter and unable to move the ball.

I am thankful for having had the chance to run out of the Michigan tunnel and onto the field. ( I'm not supposed to run per doctors orders and never knew if I would really be able to again )

I'm thankful for my amazing family, friends, and the great opportunities I have being a student at the University of Michigan. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I am thankful for my beautiful 7 month old daughter who is having her first thanksgiving. This is only the second time in my life I am not in MI for thanksgiving. We are visiting the in laws in San Diego- Her family is just so different than mine. On the holidays my family is overjoyed and everyone is buddy buddy. Unlike her family which is at each other's throats the whole time...The nice part is that I dont have to wait until 12:00pm to watch football which is awesome.  Beat those shit heads in the ass crack of the U.S.

Thanksgiving is a very special occasion that we Americans celebrate. This is the time of the year where our families and friends gather together to celebrate life and be thankful to the blessings that we received in the entire year. Most of us become busy in preparing what foods to cook for this special occasion. But the price of Thanksgiving supper has gone up this year, though only just. Over last year's basket of products composed of the standard spread, a 28-cent increase has been observed.

The cost of Thanksgiving dinner 2012 is, according to USA Today, $49.48, compared to the $49.20 cost of Thanksgiving dinner 2011. That’s an increase of just 0.5 percent.

Cost of Thanksgiving dinner went up but only just

Celebrating Thanksgiving is not all about cooking turkeys, mashed potatoes etc. It is more important that we appreciate all the blessings that we received with or without sumptuous dinner on your plate.
