How the heck Oakland took Pitt to OT, I'll never understand.  It was frustrating, but they ground it out.  I think they were hurt a little by the layover, first tough game, the Garden, all that.  And yet, they won.  Nice.

Hate coaches who piss and moan about the refs, but whose team got a ton of the bullshit calls. Dixon is a sore loser

Thugs?

C'mon now. They're a physical team. Always have been. I didn't notice a single "thuggish" instance in that game. Just tough, hard basketball.

And the majority of coaches shake hands in that fashion.

Good ANGAR though.

Sweet comeback.

But seriously, was she all like, "Wow really, JBE, I haven't heard that name since the last time I was completely sexually satisfied. It brings back such steamy erotic memories for me. Memories I've never really shaken. Memories that lurk within me during each and every one of my intimate encounters: past, present, and probably future."

Was she all like that?

Did she just get in her car?

But that late foul where our guy (Stauskus?) hit the floor hard was excessive.  Coaches seemed like assholes, but if flybys are the norm, you know better than me.  I don't watch a lot of college hoops...

And don't worry, every guy does "it", whether he admits it or not.

Well; we really played shaky at times.  Didn't rebound well.  Still got a win against a really good looking major conference team.  Winning ugly is certainly a part of Big Ten basketball.  Lots of freshman mistakes from the freshman; but you have to look at this team and imagine them clicking on all cylinders late in the season....  Scary!

Well OK if you look at the numbers that's certainly true.  I'm not saying it was an awful performance.  But if you watched the game; you saw them give some possesions away and some guys getting out of position.

MY POINT IS that once this team improves some of those little mistakes; look out NCAA.  Love the hustle and intensity.

I'm not sure we watched the same game. We won the rebounding battle like 32-19ish and Stauskas and Robinson played more under control than any of our vets. Burke playing hero ball is what had us in trouble. He settled down and let the offense run a little before middle of the 2nd half and we took over at that point.
Burke needs to accept he has talent around him and let his points come naturally. If he plays 1on1 the team follows suit. Today he looked like he was playing for the league. Run the damn offense and everything will sort itself out. We can be a top 5 team if we work together, if Burke plays hero ball we're a top 25 team.
Good win tonight if they learn from it.

Crazy stats in a victory!

We shot 3-17 3pt shooting, 17.6%

Won the rebound battle 32-19

Lost assist battle 7-15

Shot 18-22 free throws for 81.8%

Shot twice as many free throws as Pitt 22-11

Each of these stats is quite contrary to the UM norm of the past few years.  Incredibly hard to shoot so poorly from 3pt line as well as have so few assists and still win.

But we did win.  Shows that this team is flexible and has strengths in multiple areas.  Good to have a challenging game like this, struggle, but still win.

A nice test for the Wolverines.  They fought to the end, and I'm sure they will grow as a team from the experience. It's great to come out with the win against a team that will most likely finish the season as a top 20 team.

Nice win.  Burke was trying to force the issue too much - he needs to remember that we have a lot more scoring options this year and don't need him to heave up all the NBA-range threes. When we are patient and run our offense, we're pretty tough to stop.

Great game!!! I eventually blocked out the announcer who evidently thinks he's not a head coach because officials were to blame. Pitt impressed me, but I'm more excited to see Michigan can play bad and still find a way to win. GO BLUE!! BEAT OHIO!!

With this many young players there are always going to be games like this. The good teams win them and Michigan did. Now for KSU and the NIT championship.

One of the wost games Trey Burke has played in a long while.  Really forced his shot several times - last year we really needed him to do this but this year we don't.  We have a lot of scoring options.  He played great in the first three games.  We need more of that and less of today.

Love him.  I expect he'll rebound perfectly against K State.

I love this win. Youth showed with struggles on both ends of the floor at times, but nice way to grind out a win by finding a way to get buckets down the stretch. Just glad to see that even when things aren't in this team's favor they can still get a W. Go Blue!

Good hard nosed win. Hardaway is thriving having Robinson as a teammate. I really love watching mcgary. Gives it his all. He is going to be a nightmare for opponents as he starts to settle in.
