The Game

Felt great to be back in the "Big House",even though I wasn't on the field with my gear on playing. It felt great to watch my brothers get that win. I'm very proud of them. We're still undefeated in the "Big House". We all know what this week means. 11-24-2012. Words can't explain "The Game". Go Blue!!

Anyone planning on going to the shoe?  If so, good luck and stay out of trouble!

Out of curiosity, is it safe to say that more Ohio fans come to Michigan stadium, than the reverse?  What % would you estimate goes to this game?

I would definitely say more Ohio fans go to The Game in AA than the reverse.  Reasons?   Ohio's stadium is smaller, not by a ton, but by about 10k or so, so less room for visitors.  Also - their student body is a good chunk larger than ours, meaning more built in fans.  Lastly, M fans are much more spread out than OSU fans.  Such a large chunk of M fans live in Chicago or on the coasts, whereas a very large proportion of the OSU fan base lives between CIncinnati and Cleveland.

The percentage difference isn't drastic I wouldn't think, but there are always more Buckeyes in the Big House than M fans in the Shoe.

and I have to be honest with you.  It's not worth the risk of going to the game.  When I was a kid I went with my step-dad to "The Game" at the horseshoe.  It was 1986 and I was ten.  Jim Harbaugh led the wolverines to victory that glorious day.

On the way out, my step-dad (a Buckeye grad) got in an actual fight with a guy who tried to spit on me for my Michigan sweatshirt.  I was ten.  Seriously.

Went one more time in Columbus for the 13-9 win in 1996.  Now I was twenty.  Had four UM grads and three more UM fans with me.  (The silence as Tai Streets streaked down the center of the field was amazing)  Again on the way out, one of the guys in my group was spit on.  Cops actually arrested that guy.

Point being, I have been to two UM-OSU games at the shoe and I am 2 for 2, in wins and in being spit at.  Classless pricks.  Classless pricks.  Not worth going.

(I'm only 1-2 against Ohio at the Big House, so I'll stay home next year)

I'm flying from Orlando to Columbus tomorrow. I'm staying with a friend all weekend and going to The Game on Saturday.Pray for my safety. I'll be wearing my Michigan gear every day. I can't justify being a die hard fan without repping the colors in the deapest frontlines of the enemie's battlefront. Can't wait for Saturday. #GoBlue #BeatOhio

I hope we bust out the play from last year where you baited two Buckeye defenders into running into each other (cue the three stooges sound effect) then caught a TD pass.  It's easily my favorite play from last year's game and It obviously worked to perfection, just like you guys drew it up!

Beat Ohio!  Go Blue.  Hail.  All those phrases really mean something this week.  I can't believe it's already here though, in this 2012 year and football season.

I get the mantra, "words can't explain 'The Game'", but any insight into you and your teammates games against Ohio or the week leading up would be great to hear about!

Tay- any insight as to why JT Floyd cut the dreads? Furman too? I'm getting real concerned about lack of dreadlocks moving forward.

Need MOAR Pahokee Pipeline!!
