Upset Alert: #1 IU trailing Georgia (1-2) at halftime
Hoosiers trailing an awful Georgia team at the half, 30-29 in Brooklyn. I love seeing #1's go down in most instances, but this would be an embarassment to the conference on a day where we've already taken our beating. So pick it up, Hoosiers.

Hooisers pull away big in the 2nd half.

Hoosiers will most likely blow them out in 2nd half. Georgia not good. Watched them get blown out at home against Youngstown State

This upset won't happen. IU happened to be cold in the first half, but Georgia has been fouling like crazy and half their team is already in foul trouble. They have three bigs with 3 fouls and another with 4. IU will give it to Zeller every time and UGA will either have to play soft or foul out.

OT: Anybody get a look at Oklahoma State freshman guard Marcus Smart? That kid is a player and he completely dominated NC State's much heralded junior guard Lorenzo Brown.
NC State is as talented as Michigan but they haven't been bringing the effort every night. I am sure we will get their best shot on Nov. 27

and watched the first half highlights. Apparently he did so well with the U-19 squad for the US, that the entire coaching staff was singing his praises. Definitely a player to keep an eye on for the future.

Bobby Knight may be senile. He just spent two or three minutes saying that this was an important possession for Indiana so they can get up by four. They were up by four the whole time he kept saying that...

Indiana wins by a minimum of 10

They are up 12 with about 5 to go. 40 minutes people, 40 minutes. Even if Indiana lost, I wouldn't be concerned. It's the very beginning of the season and this is college basketball.

IU was missing a fair amount of wide open threes that they won't miss in most games. The takeaway from this game is that their defense is really improved, especially on the perimeter. They defended the ball screen incredibly well.
And then as always they just have too many bodies and play too fast for most teams to keep up with for forty minutes. There are maybe 12 teams in the country capable of beating Indiana more than 1 time in 3 on a neutral court. Five of them are probably in the B1G.

Bob knight's homerism was annoying and Zeller looked drunk. Oladipo presents matchup problems. Gotta make him a jump shooter. I forsee a split with this team in the big ten season.

You say a lot of things about Bob Knight but being a Hoosier homer isn't one of them. Took him years to even call one of their games.

I don't know. He was a little too into Jordy Hulls, who did admittedly have a great second half. Maybe homerism isn't the right description, but it felt like he was calling everything from IU's perspective, like he was pulling for them. Indeed he is objectively critical, but you could tell who he wanted to win IMO. Why wouldn't he call their games?

Getting fired by a team might make you not want to call their games.

A 1 point deficit at the half is not really a newsflash.

Zeller with 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 turnovers. That looks like a POY candidate if I've ever seen one.

They always have issues away from home(more than most).

Shabazz Muhammed is making his debut for UCLA tonight. Interested to see how good he is right out of the gate.

Pretty darn good, I'd say. Was a reason he was #1. Even though they lost, 15 points isn't a bad debut at all. Interested to see how he progresses throughout his (only?) season.
