I personally cannot wait for the flood of Fitzgerald gifs that come out of that obnoxiousness.  I am not a gif creator, but I imagine him on a trampoline or wearing a cheerleader outfit with pom poms, pigtails & skirt.

As for Demens, my friend & I watching on TV were both saying before the play started "Why are they only putting 3 on the line?  Why are the rest playing so far back?  Oh boy...."  and then as the play ended "OHHHH!, That's why so Demens could tee him up.  THAT WAS AWESOME!"  I really need to start trusting Mattison more.  He really has earned it at this point.

Although, it was a terrible day for the defense. All Northwestern does all game is pitch the ball or not pitch the ball, and it looked like we had no idea how to defend this simple thing until the last drive. This is the first time the D looked ill-prepared under Mattison.

but that defensive alignment seemed like a straight up dare from Mattison.  It's almost like he was trying to force the offense into handing off to the dive back by giving them a look they couldn't pass up... then LOL Demens.

One of the great things about this tackle, aside from its technical soundness, is that Tyris Jones, in his very limited time in the game for Northwestern, had 2 carries for 2 yards. This was not the 2-yard carry.

I remember, during one of the (post-game?) pressers last year, that Hoke was asked what he likes most about the team, and he said "I like that they like each other". The random silliness between Roy and Gibbons couldn't be a better example of that, particularly one between a special teams player and one from the offense.
