I don't give a shit if they are a Buckeye or even William Gholston, I respect individuals who respect our troops/sailors. Everyone says they do, but how many people actually go up to a soldier who is a stranger and say thanks or buy them a drink when given the chance

Now you can discuss what REALLY respecting them means. But that's a conversation for another forum.

I never thought he was a homer for OSU. Always liked him, thought he brought a lot to the program when he came on board, and always thought he was a class act.

Don't know if you saw, but he picked Northwestern to win.

total dick.

Not sure I understand how that matters regarding the OP. Is he supposed to pick Michigan to win in all of their games?

Six days a week, I agree with the OP.

Yeah and we are totally killing them...THAT IDIOT!
November 10th, 2012 at 3:03 PM ^
...he's looking pretty smart.
November 10th, 2012 at 3:49 PM ^
As smart as when he picked Purdue to win the Big Ten?

Come now, why would we hate Herbie? Would that all OSU quarterbacks played as well against us as he did.
November 10th, 2012 at 12:39 PM ^
why is there a thread for this?

Plus he's been in the best Capital One commercial ever: "What number on Herb Street, Mr. Kirk?"
November 10th, 2012 at 1:41 PM ^
when Herbie would always pick Michigan to win the B1G....long time ago now i guess but I distinctly remember thinking he sure does pick Michgan alot for being an OSU guy
November 10th, 2012 at 3:45 PM ^
I'm not sure on this one...he appears to be a good guy sometimes, but this is the same douchebag that announced that Miles had accepted the Michigan job back in '08, the same DB that said Purdue was the class of the B1G this season, and the same guy that played football for Ohio.
Not saying he's a bad dude, but not ready to give him a pass either.

Les was on his way to Ann Arbor, but hey, late-November is a great time for some sailing.

Makes perfect sense. He's a class act, which is abnormal in Columbus, so he was forced to move.
November 10th, 2012 at 4:24 PM ^
I think Herbie calls it like it is a majority of the time. Plus, he gets extra points from leaving the worst state ever and moving to Nashville.

And the Herbie Award for "classiest college football commentator who used to be considered a huge douche" goes to...Kirk Herbstreit!!

on ESPN. I think he at least makes an effort to be objective, where others like douchebag Dan Fouts do not. If we're honest with ourselves (and thinking about our passion for Michigan), it can't be easy when it comes to your school.
