I think Bama is done. This game could be the end of the SEC championship run. My biggest fear is that it puts ND in the title game. They have the easiest path to the end by far and you know the humans will want them in. I also could see Oregon stumbling in the Civil War. And in a one game playoff I don't trust any team over the huge horseshoe that ND is carrying.

Neither LSU or Alabama would be in the Capital One bowl.  If we weren't going to the Rose Bowl we would most likely be facing one of Florida, South Carolina, or Georgia because I believe they would put both LSU and Alabama in the BCS.

USC looks decidedly mediocre this year. Lost to a meh Stanford team. Embarrassed themselves at home against Oregon. Lost to Zona. Do they have a quality win this year?

Edit: Best USC win: over 5-4 Washington. Also their only win over a team with a winning record (unless Syracuse has one, but Big East). They still play ASU and UCLA and don't play OSU (NTOSU).

Even with the SEC love-fest, I don't think the voters/BCS could justify jumping a 1-loss SEC team over an undefeated non-Big East team. If two of Kansas State, Oregon, and Notre Dame finish undefeated and 'Bama falls tonight or later in the season, the SEC champ will be left out of the title game.

god dammit.

This went from being back in the drivers seat for the big ten title game and notre dame being out of national title picture at 7 PM to our chances being blown and ND being an Oregon or Kstate loss away from making it.

Not a good night.  although what Oregon did to USC I don't see anyone on their remaining schedule who has a shot at beating them.  Other then at TCU I can't see K-State being tested. Though Klein left the game, he was laughing on the sideline so I'd guess he'll be fine.

Does anyone else envy the intensity and drama that sec football is? I can't stand all of the braggart and obnoxious sec fans but at the same time...I love these games...

The false start rule needs examined. It cost Michigan a possible defensive touchdown today, it hurt us last week, and it just most likely cost Bama the game.

Im actually pulling for Bama. I think they are the best team in the country by far and would dominate anyone on a neutral field. They have their hands full tonight, but some crappy NFL teams may have some trouble in Death Valley at night.

well, its because we hadn't recruited well at tight end, fullback, and offensive line in many years.  the A-train lines were huge, and were stocked with NFLers.  Even the tight ends and fullbacks played in the NFL (Tuman, Campbell, Seymour, Askew, Shea, Joppru).  Without those guys, screens dont work.
