Denard WILL Start vs. Minnesota

Submitted by B-Nut-GoBlue on

Sorry no link (yet) but it was just posted on the "BottomLine" on ESPN that Denard Robinson will start tomorrow at Minnesota.  I hope that is enough to go on; if not please delete and a post can be made once a true source is out for the "news".  Once more is out I'd be happy to post any relevent info. regarding the injury and how Denard has been coping/will cope with said injury.  Great news for us Michigan fans!  Go Blue.

Edit: (5:35 Central Time) - I'm thinking someone jumped the gun because this "story" hasn't been revealed to be true anywhere or by anyone, yet.  I apologize if this post ends up being false because I also jumped the gun after seeing the aforementioned "headline" earlier this afternoon.

DG was having an All-Big Ten type of year until the last couple games. At one point he was averaging 75 yards and a touchdown per game. I'm not sure if you realize, but that's a 1,000 yard season.

When you're QB isn't a great thrower, and gets hurt...and then the backup isn't ready, it's going to hurt your numbers.

I WILL be watching tomorrow at noon to see if that report is right.  And i DO hope it's true but if not, then I EXPECT Devon to have a good game as his replacement.

From what I understand about the injury (and I'm no doctor) it just takes time to get feeling back.  He could be fine right now, but if he hits it again the same thing could happen.  You will see him hand off plenty on Saturday though.

Something about this has me expecting the unexpected. Denard starts, but at what position and how long does he play? Does he split snaps with the #2 QB? Does he get involved as a halfback? Slot receiver?
There is a lot at risk moving forward with having him on the field as QB. Saturday could be our best shot at getting a backup QB prepped for games 9 thru 12 and possibly the B1G CG. I think we see Denard play, but in unconventional looks/formations relative to other games up to this point.

ESPN also talked about the concussion Denard received at Nebraska!?!?  Is there ANY truth to this or is it just the World Wide Leader showing their disdain for the B1G?

I hate to play quote police/douchebag, but that kid (who had himself one hell of a child acting career) did not utter the "tumor" line.  The character named 'Loel' did, he had a few other dark ones about death as well.

The kid above's funniest line was probably, "boys have a penis, girls have a vagina", to which Mr. Kimball responds, "thanks for the tip".  This was part of the "who is your daddy, and what does he do?"  game.

Also, Richard Tyson, what happened to that guy?

Denard's doing well. He's getting back, he's getting healthy. He's ready to go.
Made me feel a little better for some reason.

She tweeted the Friday practice video from mgoblue.com, around the 35 second mark you see Denard throwing the ball around. I'm sure he will start the game, and I pray he finishes it.
