Game 4 World Series open thread. Show some pride Tigers!!!

Submitted by Bluemandew on

Pitching has been strong except for game one. The bats need to show up if the Tigers are going to avoid a sweep.

Can't win four until you win one.

If we do somehow manage to win the next two it will interesting to see how the Giants respond to the pressure of being ahead instead of behind.  In ever series they've been in so far they've been the team down and down big.   Let's see how they handle prosperity.

GO TIGERS!

All they have to do is hit today and get a win

They win 2-1 or 3-1, and then have Verlander going Game 5, it's a series again

But they have to stop playing from behind, and they're already down 1-0

Quick rules question.  I noticed that Young is standing on first base instead of going into the dugout after his at bat.  Does anybody know why that happened?  Did he make the other players mad so they're making him stand out there by himself?

I cant remember seeing Tigers standing out on the bases this series before so I wasnt sure what happened.

You know this, but when a player hits the ball into a gap, they are allowed to stat on the respected base they have aerned. This is what they call a "hit". Glad i could fill you in. These so called "hits" are an endangered species here in Detroit, probably why you haven't heard of these.

Mates,

Was there last night at Comerica, and I kid you not the atmosphere was like a hockey fight where one of the 'combatants' is turtleing.   The tigers have zero energy.  Their pitching has been quite good, but besides that all else is ugly.

Quick question:  In the first inning last night it sure looked like SF's first baseman (Pence?) pulled his foot on that double play.   What did the replays show?

Still rooting for our tigers, but it ain't pretty.

FINALLY!

A lead and the first positive thing to happen to the team in four games.  If anybody is going to lead the Tigers out of this hole they've dug it has to Miggy.
