Horford has strained knee. Should be ok for opener
This is some good news regarding frontcourt depth.

"Jon will be back hopefully in a short period of time after straining his left knee," Beilein said. "Right now it is too early to predict, however, we are optimistic he will return for the season opener."

He rubbed some dirt on it and he was fine.

Don't even worry about the opener. Hold him out until December, seriously. Maybe play him 10 miutes a game against the good OOC teams.
October 26th, 2012 at 3:24 PM ^
Don't play anyone with the, "please I hope I don't get hurt, I'll just play a little bit and take it easy" attitude. Just go out there and do your thing.
October 26th, 2012 at 4:49 PM ^
I didn't say any of those things. I just don't think a recently and oft-injured player needs to put in a ton of minutes before the season really gets going. I just don't need him to get hurt in a game against Bradley or Western Michigan.

aggravating a not-healed injury against Slippery Rock.

now, let's not jinx ourselves.

This is a friendly reminder that jinxing isn't really a thing, so you can stop worrying. You're welcome.

will help "Caris" us all the way to a Championship? Huh, amirite?
Also, great news about our big guys, let's hope they stay healthy and contribute mightily, like Mighty Michigan men!

and Horford definitely seems injury-prone.
October 27th, 2012 at 8:42 AM ^
do not like big men at all. When was the last time Michigan had a consistently healthy and decent center/big man?
October 27th, 2012 at 8:52 AM ^
I think the last traditional "big" who was really good, stayed healthy, and whose existence didn't get erased was Juwan Howard. Michigan has almost never been THE destination for 5-star bigs.
During the years that they were a perennial BTC contender, they usually had a tall roster of decent players, but no real stars over 6-7.
