Mitch McGary not full-go at practice right now. Getting lots of treatment on his leg.

McGary is practicing, but Beilein says he's been limited somewhat as he continues to get treatment on a previous leg injury.

Jon Horford twisted a knee yesterday. Beilein says he's concerned -- no report yet though.

If these injuries turn out to be serious, put me in the group of people who will think, "This season really was too good to be true."

Well, Horford was out most of last year, so hopefully the team is used to working without him.  Sounds like McGary will recover; and probably wouldn't hurt to keep the freshman's minutes lean early on in case he is needed later in the season.  But yeah, this isn't fun to hear.

looked very coordinated to me, like some parts of his body have to catch up to others when he moves.  Could lead to some awkward landings when he has stop, jump, and land quickly, or when he does not have complete balance when he lands.  It does seem like they are all leg injuries.  Just a theory.

Im torn in how to vote on the thread OP.  Do I upvote it for being informative, especially with the quoted tweets which was very insightful, or do I downvote it because it is bad news that I didn't want to hear?

Sounds like Horford has a MCL/ACL issue.  Not good.  Wouldn't count on him being back or contributing until after the new year.

McGary has one of Hoke's famous "Boo-Boos"

just trying to stay optimistic.  An MCL would give him an opportunity to be back this season.  If he can't, it looks like we may have to revert to the classic Beilien 4-guard formation (pending McGary, depth, and a whole bunch else).

The full write-up is now on AnnArbor.com - (LINK)

It mentions that McGary is "working on something with his ankle and foot", also mentioning that some will just be on the bike during sprints as well to build up strength. There are still no specifics for Horford's injury, but "twisted a knee" doesn't sound good initially, so hopefully we get some word soon. Regardless, I wish both of them a speedy recovery.
