That was amazingly satirical and geeky at the same time: somehow I thought those would be mutually exclusive. I was wrong.

Corn prices went to plaid this year, so growers slaughtered much of their livestock in order to avoid feeding them; this flooded the market with meat all summer of 2012, and prices hit incredible lows. That has begun to pass but won't be over until Christmas. By this time March meat is going to be 4 times its current price..

the title of that article should be "Does . . . ?" and not "Can . . . ?"; but, to be fair, I only had one quarter of statistics a quarter-century ago.
