META: Front page game gifs
So, in the post The Lamentation Of Their Women, Ace created a few gifs of some of the plays. As someone who reads the blog at a company where they block youtube, these gifs definitely came in handy. It also helps that they are hosted by this site due to imgur gifs/flickr photos also being blocked (I miss a lot of the kttens and Lloyd Brady photos due to this). I really have no idea how long it takes to create these, but I would like to say to Brian and Ace that they are very much appreciated.
I was wondering if this will be something that we will see more of in future posts or if it was just a spur of the moment thing and if so, could we use the gif system a bit more. If they take too long then no big deal, but I just wanted to say that the effort was appreciated and I hope that it can continue. I realize videos and picture pages are very helpful, but hopefully gifs can be used some more as well.
Anybody else really like this new (maybe) addition?

They're pretty easy to do (the Ryan one took about an hour and a half, but that involved extensive photoshopping). The plan right now is to do a Monday gifs post, so they'll be a regular feature from here on out.
Suggestions are always welcome, by the way. If people notice something particularly interesting or funny that happens on the broadcast—especially during home games, when I don't have the benefit of watching on TV—please email me or hit me up on Twitter. This includes stuff like "sad fan is sad"—especially so if there are sad Juggalos on Saturday.

that gifs will be a regular feature. My company also blocks any and all streaming video so I can never watch the vid clips, but gifs always work no problem, so please gif as many awesome things as possible as that's often the only way I get to see them.

Thats nice to hear. I usually try to catch up on a few of the posts that look really interesting, such as UFRs so I can see the videos, but looking forward to not missing out on as much at work. Thanks for all the hard work.

...suggestion. Work server blocks YouTube, so another host is great. The problems with the MGoBlog app/iOS6/YouTube may also argue for this.

I actually commented on the problem of embedded youtube videos last week as well. From what one poster stated, it is just an iOS6 problem like you said. Seems to have problems on other apps and websites as well. Hopefully Apple can fix it and it's nothing that needs to be fixed within the app.

Yes, GIFs are much appreciated over youtube links. GIFs for UFR plays linked to youtube would be the ultimate.

but I find GIF-heavy posts tend to make the Droid MGoApp pretty much give up and die. Not sure if others have also had this experience, or if my phone just sucks (quite possible).

As Ace mentioned, they're pretty easy to do...for Ace. We are finally seeing the upside to having guys with Macs. Downside: argh manually resizing photos whenever I copyedit their stuff.

Things hosted on MgoBlog are 50/50 for us deployed Michigan fans. Imgur is always solid for me though.
