TTB: Saturday visit list... !!!!!

Submitted by Section 1 on

I cannot ever recall such a star-studded official visitors list.

Touch the Banner notes that the list is, as always, fluid and that there may be additions or cancellations.  But a lot of the visits are players taking their "official," and I suspect that those arrangements are pretty solid.  What a list!  I'll have trouble keeping my eyes off our visitors' section just to watch the game.

[Edit. - Tremendous offers the list of names, and more, minus Magnus's editorial blurbs.  Just trying to spread the credit for all of the painstaking work that goes into compiling the weekend plans of nearly 60 highly-recruited high school athletes, all teenagers: Tremendous blog.]

So, if the count is correct, that's a star-studded list of 58 recruits and current commits, plus or minus some in the next few days depending on their ultimate plans. Nobody was joking when they said that we may quite literally have a whole team in the visitors section on Saturday. A very impressive group indeed, and hopefully Michigan puts on a nice little show for them to cap their experience.

I am predicting mass commitments, record breaking stuff. Also, a 20 point thrashing and Dantonio going into cardiac arrest as Denard scores his fifth touchdown of the day.

Go Blue...cmon boys join the wave!!

Are there any commitments anticipated this weekend? For instance, Tremendous hinted that new OL recruit Denzel Ward will be here, and could commit.

I don't necessarily want to know who (because every recruit deserves his day in the son and the publicity of "committing,") but I'm curious how many commitments are expected.

The other thing I'd be curious about is whether the emotion of the moment is a bad thing. That is to say, I wouldn't want recruits to be swept up by euphoria, to make a commitment, and then to have second thoughts and cold feet, (as in Dawson, for instance.) I think the policy Hoke has set of visiting the schools you're interested in, and only commiting to Michigan if you "are sure."
