It's hard to nitpick on a day when almost everything went right, but MAN that first first-down pickup was a terrible call.  Receiver catches the ball at the 26 while heading back towards the line of scrimmage, is untouched before he is solidly tackled at the 24 and a half yard line, and they give them the spot on the 26.

Hoke is right.  It's good, but not good enough.  Illinois did have some success on the ground for stretches of the game, and figured out some blitz-beaters to the RB for first downs.

Don't get me wrong--I'm not complaining.  I'm just saying that if Illinois had some success on the ground--especially early--than MSU might be able to as well.

Saturday is going to be a dog fight, and if we don't bring our best game, we will lose.  We played very well against Illinois, but we need to keep improving and we have to shut down Sparty's run game.

I also think we'll need more Rawls in this game.  Toussaint is not getting it done, and Rawls is the kind of punisher that can grind down a defense and weakend their will.

I think we'll win, but I think it will be a close game.  I think our win is by 3-7 points.
