Dammit Burbridge, Y U no study in HS?
October 13th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
Wow Purdue.....this is just sad. So much for Hope's best Purdue team.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:05 PM ^
Sparty seats.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:06 PM ^
If MSU loses, their fans will blame the loss on Burbridge being spotted 1 yard short of the sticks (instead of 1 foot short).
October 13th, 2012 at 2:07 PM ^
...because it's true.
SO true.

"If you like punting...you've come to right place."
What a game!
OU absolutely demolishing Texas. Mack Brown is a very successful coach, but it doesn't appear that he can get his kids to play any more.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:09 PM ^
Mack Brown, Frank Beamer, George O'Leary...it's time to move into retirement.
Spurrier, Solich, Snyder...keep on keepin on!

Terbush is absolutely awful...he must be a great practice player to constantly see the field.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:10 PM ^
He has a partially torn ACL or something like that. Sure he played a little vs. Michigan, but I'm not sure he's the better option over the course of the entire game.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:11 PM ^
I'm still convinced he is better than Terbush even on one leg.

I agree 100%. But, I think it will be a heck of a lot better here in a few years. I think there is a lot of young talent in the conference that has yet to see the field. At least that is my story, and I am going to stick to it.

I've said this a million times, but why not one more.
IMO, Michigan and Ohio will got back to dominating the league. Big 2 and Little 10. There will always be a 3rd team in there...Nebraska, Wisconsin, etc. but if you look back over a 10 year span, starting this season, I think you'll consistently see Michigan and Ohio at the top.
This is a big reason why I HATE Dantonio...more so than any other coach in the country. He benefited from Rich Rod not recruiting the state and Tressel's fall.
With Hoke and Meyer in place, MSU is officially "little brother" again. I know some people don't like that term, and that's fine. But just look at the recruiting in the state the past 2 years, it's not going to get better.
Back to 7-5 to 9-3 for Sparty. Sure they'll have good years, as will Iowa, Purdue and potentially Northwestern. Michigan or Ohio may dip to 3rd or 4th in certain years, but overall...the BIG 2 are back.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:56 PM ^
Honestly, just look at the Big10 recruiting rankings and you have your explanation for why the conference is doing so poorly. Almost half the conference struggles just to pull in a class with 3 stars across the board. This is not a recipe for success. Until that changes, you are going to see Michigan and Ohio dominate with a few other programs making a run every now and again.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:15 PM ^
I've figured out the MSU passing game: short crossing pattern across the middle set up by a bunch of other crossing patterns. It is literally the only thing in the pass game that has worked at all this game.

October 13th, 2012 at 2:21 PM ^
Well apparently Iowa hasn't...
October 13th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
Dantonio gets some Zook points for that punt. I guess since he's already got all the douche points, he's moving onto another category.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
For most of the 70s, the "Big Two and the Little Eight" was not an exaggeration.

good job Weisman
October 13th, 2012 at 2:17 PM ^
This MSU defensive line is really bad if Iowa is just blowing them off the ball.

Have you only watched one play of this game?
October 13th, 2012 at 2:18 PM ^
I guess if you call the zone stretch left every time, it will eventually work.

This Purdue/Wisc game is getting me sad. I thought we had a quality win (for B1G standards) against Purdue, but unless Wisc has regained their form from last season (which I don't think they have), Purdue is just terrible, terrible, terrible. Damn.

October 13th, 2012 at 2:23 PM ^
Well I like to think we are beating Purdue for the 2nd straight week.

I wonder how much longer RE is going to be in Ypsi. This was supposed to be a year where they finally busted through to respectability in the MAC, but looks like it's going to be a struggle to win even once.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:30 PM ^
without having access to the talent Lloyd had. He should have stuck to the spread.
He'll get a 5th year, but that will probably be his last unless EMU somehow finds a way to go 7-5.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:27 PM ^
Iowa scores a TD here and wins 12-10 on a game-winning safety.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:31 PM ^

October 13th, 2012 at 2:39 PM ^
is that it doesn't matter how awful they've looked the last few games—they'll play their best game of the season against us next week.
October 13th, 2012 at 2:40 PM ^
Yep. And then they'll go back to being bad. Sunrise, sunset.
