OMG.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:19 PM ^
let's just get to halftime at 28-6 and I will feel awesome.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:19 PM ^
Come on D. Big stop here!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:20 PM ^
101 yd pick six. Let's do this!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:20 PM ^
Damn again. At least we get the ball first.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:20 PM ^
Shit.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
Stupid slant.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
Need a TD on the first 2nd half drive. No panic yet.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:21 PM ^
Unacceptable to lose the fumble on first down, up 28-3.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
happens. Hard to play perfect for an entire half.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:25 PM ^
I'm just saying that you don't need to do anything big there. Your only job is hanging onto the ball hen you're killing another team.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:30 PM ^
I think we should fire Borges! He's putting Denard in a position to fumble!
/s
oh btw, STFU dude!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
Did I mention anything about Borges? Fuck you.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:36 PM ^
Saved so everyone can tell that jonvalk is on his period.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:36 PM ^
Wahhhhhh
October 6th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
Agree. You have the chance to extend the score to either 31-3 or 35-3, applying the proverbial dagger. Now, it's still somewhat of a game and the pressure is on to score to open the second half.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:29 PM ^
Sometimes the other team's gotta eat as well. They RPS'ed the shit out of that play: unblocked blitz right into the zone read to which the play was not designed to read that blitzer. Don't like it anymore than you do, but it just happens sometimes. More pissed at the D for letting a TD.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
to say the D pissed you off, they played a great half and most of the points they've given up in the last game and a half has been off TO's
October 6th, 2012 at 5:36 PM ^
Defense was put in a bad spot. They've been lights out the last two games.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:42 PM ^
I'm not overly pissed at the D for giving up a 30 yard scoring drive after stopping Purdue two plays before. But choosing which I lay more blame on, it's the D opposed to a blown up zone read on the O.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
it's still been all us all half 28-10 and we get the ball to start off the 2nd half so not worried at all. Unless Purdue becomes the incarnated spirit of Alabama's 2009 team. This comeback ain't happening. Purdue Pete looks like a mascot with a giant Dan Akroyd head.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:22 PM ^
end what was otherwise a great half. Have to guard against a momemtum shift to start the second half.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:24 PM ^
That's the big thing. Even if we go 3 and out we'd have killed their spirit by not allowing a TD in the first half.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:23 PM ^
Lets hope for more of the same in the second
October 6th, 2012 at 5:26 PM ^
P.S. Football is NOT better with a rules guru!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
Terry Hawthorne being stretchered off for Illinois and doesn't appear to be moving. Ugly scene
Ed. : Hands are moving, that at least is good news..
October 6th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
Hey, as long as those limbs are moving, the outlook becomes much brighter.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:31 PM ^
that could have been even better, we're 1 yard from a FG and a drive at the end there would have made it anywhere from a 34 or 38 to 3 lead, oh well.
Let's come out in the 2nd half and kick more ass, Can you imagine how good our defense will be going forward with more experience and GREAT coaching!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:33 PM ^
dammit, should not have lost that fumble, we're looking at 35-3 vs 28-10. nonetheless, denard's playing well. i like our chances.
gotta say on a sidenote, however, that i'm really happy for penn state. we don't play them this year, and given their situation, i want them to win out. when they come out on the other end eligible for bowl games/playoffs, the B1G needs them to be top-notch.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:34 PM ^
Biggest concern so far: still lack of Fitz production. What's going on with him? Denard gains enough yards that I don't think the OL is a big problem...
October 6th, 2012 at 5:41 PM ^
Yes, Denard is is gaining a lot of rushing yards, but this is because he has 2 options that te defense has to watch for. Fitz is bugging me with him trying to dance around too much running backwards trying to create somethig out of nothing and in turn losing years. BUT Fitz is getting hit right after getting the ball or soon after.. Which makes it impossible to do anythig for a running back.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:43 PM ^
from Fitz at times. To be fair though, the blocking needs to be better on RB runs, and the difference in the holes for Denard and the RB's could partially be explained by an extra blocker being there for the QB runs.
October 6th, 2012 at 8:25 PM ^
I wonder if this is what we should have been seeing during 2010 if we had an RB. It's kid of like that in 2011, we established that Fitz can run, and now teams are keying on him, which is opening it up for Denard. Hell, as long as we are gaining yards, and more importantly, scoring, I'm fine with it.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:38 PM ^
one bad turnover make me feel like we played like sh*t
October 6th, 2012 at 5:44 PM ^
o many turnovers will do that to your mind. I wouldn't mind getting through a game with no turnovers.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:40 PM ^
LSU and Florida. 6-0 LSU leads with two FGs. 11:30 to play in the 3rd.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:45 PM ^
Not really OT. It's a games open thread. Discuss away!
October 6th, 2012 at 5:42 PM ^
These rap songs need to stop, they are awful
October 6th, 2012 at 5:47 PM ^
Creative with the current themes of the games. Not easy to do....
October 6th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
We own Penn State
October 6th, 2012 at 5:46 PM ^
Really be able to turn on the jets just once...
October 6th, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
before he breaks one.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
he'll return 1 or 2 before this season is over. Would love for him to return one in a huge game like MSU or Ohio. He's scary when he breaks free.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
Come on O.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
His fundamentals are hopeless...
October 6th, 2012 at 5:58 PM ^
the first backfoot throw today. His fundamentals are fine when he has time, pressure does cause some backfoot throws though. Hopeless to me, would mean that the fundamentals are out of wack most of time, and I don't believe that is the case with Denard. To be honest, I would say questionable decision making is a bigger issue than throwing mechanics.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:54 PM ^
Your posting is hopeless
October 6th, 2012 at 5:48 PM ^
He had a clear running lane, and no open receiver, so he throws it.
October 6th, 2012 at 5:50 PM ^
like there might have been a open receiver, and he missed him.
