Apparently the University of Miami lacks family values.

Nobody on the road...

Empty lake, empty streets, the sun goes down alone
I'm drivin' by your house, even though, you're not hooooome...
August 26th, 2009 at 5:02 AM ^
But I can see you- your brown skin shining in the sun. You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby. And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong, after the boys of summer have gone.
August 26th, 2009 at 1:15 PM ^
Well done team, I plus-oned all of us. I love Don Henley (and the Ataris???).
August 25th, 2009 at 1:35 PM ^
its more like a business there...
August 25th, 2009 at 1:36 PM ^
leaving a couple of young guys ... sounds oddly familiar. Do you mean A.J. Highsmith? I think he's Alonzo's kid. Jacoby looked pretty good last year for a freshman.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:48 PM ^
Yeah, Highsmith. My bad.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:45 PM ^
do you mean jacory? I thought Jacoby was a centerfielder for the Red Sox, I didn't know that he played football at Michigan as well.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:46 PM ^
Neither of them play football at Michigan.
August 25th, 2009 at 3:03 PM ^
you have proven to me that you are, in fact, as smooth as MC Hammer (and by smooth I mean as smooth as sandpaper).
EDIT* it's nothing against you personally....I just really don't miss MC Hammer at all. Well...that...and he wasn't smooth.
August 25th, 2009 at 3:15 PM ^
Smooooooth no ROUGH
August 25th, 2009 at 1:41 PM ^
Coach obviously ran them off the team.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:41 PM ^
They've only got one QB commit for this class as well, and he's a low 3 star. They better hope Jacory Harris is both healthy and good at playing football or they're in trouble.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:50 PM ^
Jacory Harris is Tate Forcier stretched out over another 4 inches.
(sorry, i mistakenly negged you when trying to hit the reply button. i'll neg myself in retribution if i can.)
August 25th, 2009 at 2:52 PM ^
Trying to be a good Samaritan, I fixed both your neg problems.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:44 PM ^
They must be bringing in kids with bad character issues, maybe the same type that ran wermers off of the team. The ones that go to class.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:45 PM ^
I heard Shannon refused to offer Cook's little brother a schollarship and Smith didn't like the kind of kid's he was recruiting.
August 25th, 2009 at 9:49 PM ^
That sounds oddly familiar
August 25th, 2009 at 1:46 PM ^
....their local newspapers are ripping the coach on a daily basis....
August 26th, 2009 at 11:26 AM ^
I wonder if people are gonna start talking about how the university of south florida owns the miami area in recruting and are the new southern florida football powerhouse.
August 25th, 2009 at 1:53 PM ^
but what about Ray Ray Armstrong? Maybe they could move him back to qb: http://rivals100.rivals.com/viewprospect.asp?Sport=1&pr_key=78415
He impressed the hell out of me in the one game I caught on FCS.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:07 PM ^
Was Ray Ray a QB before? Rivals only had him listed as an "Athlete". Thanks.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:09 PM ^
Yes, Ray Ray played QB in high school, but he has a ton more potential elsewhere. I bet he doesn't want to move.
August 25th, 2009 at 2:03 PM ^
Cannon Smith is a great QB name!
August 25th, 2009 at 2:22 PM ^
a program gets on "back track?" I suppose if they back tracked enough they could return to their NC season. Maybe we can back track to 1997?
EDIT* I didn't mean to be an ass, but I fear I have. Just trying to be funny :(
August 25th, 2009 at 2:52 PM ^
Not going to be the starter, transfer elsewhere.
August 25th, 2009 at 3:25 PM ^
it has worked for some people (e.g. jevan snead).
August 25th, 2009 at 3:36 PM ^
So they've lost three now with Marve gone?
August 25th, 2009 at 4:27 PM ^
Does anyone see an opening for Feagin?
August 25th, 2009 at 5:04 PM ^
Maybe Dantonio might get bored in EL and fly south this winter.
August 25th, 2009 at 8:28 PM ^
...is a disciplinarian who took over for a pushover; this is not the Miami kids expect fo find when they get there. Sadly, though, from what I hear anyway, no matter what he does, he can't stop the Dade County clique from making things difficult for many players who come in from "out of town."
Since most of his best players come from Dade County, particularly Miami NW and Booker T Washington, this is a big problem. Shannon has a great and inspirational story; it would be great to see him succeed, but I have to agree with AmaizinBlue here. I just don't think Shannon will get enough time in Miami to turn around what Coker did to the program.
August 25th, 2009 at 5:05 PM ^
restore their family values.
August 25th, 2009 at 5:08 PM ^
For how much I dislike the "U" that was majestic.
August 25th, 2009 at 6:02 PM ^
Have they publicly stated why they were transferring?
It makes a big difference (at least IMHE) whether they left because of the likelihood of significant playing time, Alabama-esque "unspecified violations of team rules," actual violations of team rules, or run-of-the-mill "I didn't fit in with the program."
August 25th, 2009 at 6:08 PM ^
I'm guessing the MSM will blame RR for running him off. It seems to be his fault everytime someone transfers.
(Yes, I realize this is Miami and RR is the coach at Michigan)
August 25th, 2009 at 8:56 PM ^
This thread would have been even better if the title was "2 UM QBs Transfer".
August 25th, 2009 at 9:52 PM ^
Yeah, and make me have a minor heart attack
August 26th, 2009 at 5:04 AM ^
My favorite thing about Jacory Harris is when very white sportscasters call him "Jockery".
