What a magnificently horrible 24 hours for sports

First, the game yesterday. Then the Lions' miscommunication costs them a potentially season-changing, yet undeserved victory. Finally, after melting down in the afternoon game, the Tigers ride their washed-up reliever to a loss, blowing another chance to tie the White Sox. At least Western won ...

SRJK, you are amazing. I read your whole post and thread on Sailing Anarchy, about the ACWS, and really appreciate your contribution. Your immediate passion to learn and contribute to anything you take an interest in is a trait that I admire, and will try to emulate. I just wanted to say thank you, and what an internet-coincidence that I see your posts at two of my favorite websites.

This has been the most insufferable 24 hours of sports I've ever endured. Just to cap it all off, Valverde blows another one in the twenty-third hour. What a ride. Make it stop.

This whole fall has been tough for him. First he's going back to coach his alma mater, an FCS team (Weber State in Idaho) when Petrino fucks things up. And since he was the only former staff with any coaching experience, he takes the job to help the kids out. Then they get upset against ULM, get crushed against Bama (anyone who thinks Petrino would have changed that is an idiot), files for Bankruptcy, has his brother die, and then they lose to Rutgers.

Yeesh....just typing that out makes me depressed
