End of the world is officially coming. Notre Dame is 4-0.

For once instead of being overhyped and not living up to expectations, they have been underhyped and are doing better than anyone thought. This is ridiculous.

Yep. '88 was brutal, too, and that was the year ND won it all--we were sooooo close to both them and Miami, and won the Rose Bowl. That makes a difference.

I think quite a bit more fondly of the '04 season than some other years simply because, with key freshmen, Michigan came *that* close to beating Texas in the Rose Bowl, and we know how good that team turned out the next year.

If Michigan wins the B1G this year it will matter that the game tonight was winnable.

Terrible spot.  Stupid flag on the whistle.  Just remind yourselves, 6 TO.  We didn't deserve it.  Feel bad for the D though, they played great...

Horrible game. Horrible QB play. Love Denard and the last two years we won because of him, this year we lost because of him. Got to take the good with the bad my friend.

As much as I love Denard and watching him play and electrify the field, I find myself wanting to skip the rest of the season to the beginning of the 2013 season where we first get an accurate portrayal of Brady Hoke with his first true west coast offense and who will be the future of Michigan in Shane Morris. But you are absolutely right.  We need to look not at the past but at the good that is bound to come for the rest of this season, and the reason we won last season in Denard.  Go Blue!!!

Balanced view.

Unfortunately, Denard will be remembered in the future as an exciting curiosity rather than a truly transcendant player. We'll love him, of course, but to the rest of the world he will be something like Antwaan Randle El or Woodrow Dantzler, tremendous players who never quite hit the next level.

It's not like ND was very impressive.  In fact, they were dominated in several aspects of the game.  Probably 9-3 at best.  Unfortunately, it doesn't matter what else you do if you turn the ball over 6 times.

Michigans offense goes as Denard goes and tonight he was terrible. Overall Michigan is not an elite team, not even close. Hoke has a lot work to do to get this program to a top 10 team Nationally

I think we're closer than you think. Through last year and this year the coaches have shown they were able to improve the team throughout the season. I thought the D played great especially considering the positions they were put in, and all the freshmen we're playing. As long as the staff is able to curb attrition seen on during RR, I think we'll be alright. The thing I'm worried a about is getting offensive players who can actually make Borges' system work. Cause it's not pretty right now.

We simply gave the game away with turnovers.  We deserved to lose that one.  All we know now that we didn't know before the game is Denard makes just as many bad decisions as he did last year.

We still have no running game outside of Denard.  This is truly going to be an up and down season.

had to return ND to glory because that is all we'll hear about for the rest fo the week.  At least, Denard is being groomed for the NFL.

The sky is falling!!!

And this is why scheduling Bama was really really stupid (or just another reason). 3-1 is a lot better than 2-2. Oh well. A bigger problem I think is that I don't think we have any QBs next year who can do what Borges is going to ask them to do either.

Good news: I still think we can win the B1G. God this league sucks.

I'm clearly not a troll, as is referenced by my karma of 2 and the fact that I can count on my fingers every post of mine that's gotten flagged as -1 since we started doing this fake points thing.  I'm just a guy who's very pissed off and in an effort to come to grips with what just happened, I've latched on tightly the to the trick play that turned into a Vince Smith int in the redzone.  Am I overexaggerating? Clearly.  But regardless,  I still don't like Borges and can't my mind of off what might have been if he had kept to what was working on that drive.

Why does everyone not understand that Borges IS NOT A SPREAD OC?? He is doing the best with what he was got and personally I think he has done a damn good job with Denard. Tonight was not systematic flaws, it was flaws woth Denard which we all know of. When Borges gets the tools he needs, I have just as much confidence in him as Hoke does, which is more than enough for me.

You know what?  Sure, the loss sucks, but we had 5 turnovers (not counting the INT at end of half) and were in a position to win on the road against a legitimately good team and only lost by 7.  Yeah, I'm not happy, but on any other night when Denard doesn't have the worst game of his life we probably win this; and ND at this point is going to be better than any other team we play the rest of the year - yes, I said it.
