Per WolverineNation, Laquon Treadwell is no longer visiting this weekend. This is straight from TVH.

Don't want to lift info from the boards there, but it's nothing to worry about.

Taking the ACT
September 7th, 2012 at 1:49 PM ^
How did he not know he was taking the ACT tomorrow, when he tweeted a day or two ago that he would be at the game????
September 7th, 2012 at 1:52 PM ^
Maybe he was expecting to move it or something, and there wasn't another date that worked. Come on, he's a high school kid, cut him some slack.
September 7th, 2012 at 1:54 PM ^
on a day's notice.
September 7th, 2012 at 1:59 PM ^
and got a 28. I didnt remember I had to take it until 12:30 the night before. It was the saturday morning after homecoming game and I called a buddy to find out why he wasnt out with the rest of us and he told me he had ACT in the morning. OOPS, so did I. I dont suggest it be the norm but it can be done.
September 7th, 2012 at 2:16 PM ^
This happens. And happened.
And will continue to happenening with high school kids. The same thing happended to me.
Still got a perfect score on Reading.
Chill on the kid.
It happenz.

I'll do you one better. I forgot my calculator and still got a 30 on the math portion. I owe my high school diploma to exams and tests. Had it been homework based, I would be flipping burgers instead of going to college.
September 7th, 2012 at 3:33 PM ^
I aced the science portion while blindfolded.
September 7th, 2012 at 3:55 PM ^
September 7th, 2012 at 6:52 PM ^
When I took the ACT, calculators weren't allowed.
September 7th, 2012 at 3:12 PM ^
Didn't prepare and I don't remember doing anything other than showing up and taking it. All I cared about was the track meet.
September 7th, 2012 at 10:21 PM ^
I slept through the ACT and still got a 36.
Am I doing this chest thumping thing correctly?

September 7th, 2012 at 2:09 PM ^
I was suggesting he was prepared to take it, but was hoping to change it. Not everyone studies for the ACT, I sure didn't. Or maybe he thought the test was earlier in the morning or our game was later. Maybe it's some other logical explanation that I just haven't posted about yet.
Point is, we don't know enough to say "geez, what kind of kid doesn't know about his own ACT."
September 7th, 2012 at 2:19 PM ^
Sounds like he was planning on trying to make it to the game after he takes his ACT in the morning... which actually may not be that big of a stretch when you think about it being a 1530 game. But then throw in a 3 hour drive, game traffic, other unforeseen details...

What's a Texas Tech fan doing on the MGoBoard? Do you live up north or just like to troll top 25 teams' boards?
September 7th, 2012 at 2:27 PM ^
I'm in grad school at tech. Sorry, I didn't know that post-graduate education constituted trolling.
September 7th, 2012 at 3:22 PM ^
what are you doing on UM's board? Did you do your undergrad at M? And if you did, and you're posting on a UM board, why isn't your logo a U of M logo? I just think its weird that you're on a Michigan board with a Big 12 school logo and username, and I don't know why you'd spend the time doing so. I'm not trying to be a troll myself, I just genuinely don't understand why you're here.
I'm getting my grad degree from Northern Illinois, but you don't see me doing an NIU logo for my picture.
September 7th, 2012 at 3:28 PM ^
I'm sure that RollDamnTexasTech just wants to be a valuable contributor to the board
September 7th, 2012 at 3:40 PM ^
You have a point, he could legitimately want to actually be here for discussion. If that is the case then I apologize to Mr. Tech.
I think I'm just a little testy today because the little guy in the photo on the left is teething and I haven't slept well in a week, so perhaps I am a bit quick on the trigger today.

I'm from Atlanta and my undergrad is from Georgia. However, both of my parents are from Michigan and I grew up watching and going to Michigan games when I could. Hence, I really like Michigan. Enough so that I actually made the trip from Lubbock to Dallas to see the game last week.
As far as the Texas Tech name and logo, why not? I can root for more than one team, and I figure since I go to all of the home games I might as well not fight being a fan.. Right now I have three teams to watch on Saturdays, and you know what? It's a ton of fun. Immersing yourself in three different cultures is wonderful.
I feel like being a Tech fan might be a bit more exciting than being a NIU fan anways. I don't blame you for not throwing the logo up :)
And on a side note, RollDamnTexasTech is one of the greatest things I've ever heard. Guns up.

It was a nice town! I went to some games back when they had the run and gun coach,I forgot his name but it was in the early 90s. TT was not that good at the time but the spread offense was fun to watch.
I always wore my Michigan shirts and caps around town. There were a few local Michigan fans there.
September 7th, 2012 at 7:00 PM ^
It's nice here, though I say that as I'm looking out the window at a dust storm (seriosuly). I just wish it wasn't so far from every thing else in the world.
September 7th, 2012 at 7:41 PM ^
After 4 years in that town it got a bit boring and then you realize that you're stuck in far west TX. Fort Worth was a 5 hour drive! That's why I left!

Question - what was the campus impression of Leach being fired? Did they feel that their only real success was just thrown away because Craig James is a bitch? That's what I would think, but you never know how the actual students feel about certain situations.
September 7th, 2012 at 6:54 PM ^
There is still a lot of anger at the school for letting Leach go. I'd have to say at least 80% of the students that I talk to about it want him back, and that may be a low number. I was out the other night when Leach had his start at wash st. Everywhere I went had the game on tv with cheers for Leach. I know I was.
The administration here is a little insane, and most of the anger directed at them on account of their being viewed as inept. Our chancellor just left for 'bama though, so maybe the bright news will be that he kicks Saban haha.

Thanks! But no need for welcomes, I've been lurking here for a while a long time.
I guess I could have just said that, but I don't like taking the easy way out when there is an absurdly more difficult and demanding alternative. It's probably a good thing I'm not a coach. 4th and 20 from our own 5 yd line in the first quarter? Sounds like we should go for it.

No idea but comments seem to indicate he didn't actually know when the AF game was, and now thinks it'll be to tight to make it. Frankly, I'm not shocked. He's said he's visiting many times and not made the trip. Hope we can actually get him on campus sometime this fall.

September 7th, 2012 at 1:55 PM ^
I'm not suprised........ that you can't spell surprised
September 7th, 2012 at 1:59 PM ^
How many spelling errors can one person make while insulting a 17 year old kid. Grow up.
September 7th, 2012 at 2:32 PM ^
when JFox was 17 he spelled surprise wrong on a term paper and thus he had to stick with that decision the rest of his life, there was no going back, no matter how big an impact this small decision was going to have on the rest of his life. no, JFox was 17, he did something once and by the time a person is 17 they should be fully aware of the consequences of every single small decision forever.
