How many games will you be attending this season?

Submitted by HartAttack20 on

As there are now TWO, count 'em, TWO weeks left untill the season starts(!), I was just wondering how many games fans on the site were thinking about going to. I plan on attending every game possible, as my dad has season tickets, but I'll probably be watching the OSU game at home on T.V. Also, I've never been to a road game and my dad is hooking us up with some tickets to the Iowa game through his boss, a season ticket holder at Iowa. It might be a little awkward having to sit surrounded by Iowa fans (probably), but I'm excited for that game. I'll probably make it to 6 home games plus the game at Iowa. So, what are everybody else's plans?

Since I'm no longer a student I couldn't get the ticket package. I'm hoping to buy one off of someone though. I know I could easily "acquire" Western, Eastern, Delaware State, Purdue, and to some extent Indiana tickets fairly easily. But, for obvious reasons I really want to go to the ND, PSU, and OSU games. Hopefully I can get tickets to those 3 as well, then I'll be going to all 8 home games (assuming that I don't get a job that takes me away from the area... which I wouldn't mind).

tickets off my hands would you be interested in purchasing one from me? (It is just a single ticket as I'll be taking the other one and most likely sitting in the student section).

Let me know.

So obviously ALL of them. I'm expecting a very exciting season. We may not win as many games as we all want to but at least we should see an exciting team this year.

To add to the excitement - not only are there only two weeks left before we kickoff there is only ONE non-football Saturday left for a while AND there is only 12 days left until the first football game in general. There are some decent ones that Thursday - Boise St v Oregon is especially good.

The Pokes are a perfect microcosm of the Big Twelve, very good offense, extremely bad defense.

Michigan probably could put 40 on Oklahoma State this year.

Moreno and Stafford are big losses but they have a far better offensive line, playmakers on offense, and a solid senior leader at QB.

Oklahoma State - 56, Georgia - 52.

WMU
ND
IU (HC)
PSU
OSU

I might try to go to an away game too... but not sure which one I would go to... Definitely won't be Halloween (Ill) maybe Mad-town again.

the MSU game if I can swing it. I'm a season ticket holder and this year I won't miss one minute of one game. My birthday is Oct. 10 and I'm trying to find a way to get into the Iowa game. If I can get tickets, I'm definitely going.

I will be going to every home game except OSU and I will also be attending the game @ MSU.

Unfortunately the osu game will be the first home game I miss in Michigan Stadium in 86 consecutive home games. All for my sister's wedding. I almost checked "Not Attending" on the invite but it is my sister. Any other relative and I would have missed the wedding.

A few years ago, a good friend of mine asked me to play piano for her wedding. She asked many months in advance, so I automatically said of course I would. Later on, she told me the date: Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006. Wait, WHAT? You want me to play for your damned wedding on the same day as UM/ND??? And your groom is a big Michigan fan??? How on earth did he let that happen?!?!? SIGH... OK. I said I would. And you are a good friend.

A couple months before the wedding, the couple split up and the whole thing was called off. And I admit that I felt no sorrow whatsoever, as I watched what was surely one of Michigan's greatest beat downs ever.... UM 47, ND 21.

I live in Los Angeles and I will be at the WMU, ND, Iowa, and OSU games this year.

My advice, pick an away game every year (except maybe OSU) and just go. Iowa will be another box to check off for me this year.

Games in Baton Rouge are awesome, especially at night. Even though not a great as they hype it up to be on ESPN, since they describe it as having a group orgy while eating pie.

I assume that you're not going to wear any Michigan or Big Ten apparel.

And I also don't recommend going to Freds or Reggies, unless you like slutty girls.

I'll be at every home game, plus MSU and Illinois. First time ever going to Illinois. Last season I made my first treks to Purdue and Penn State, and the year before I went to my first game at Northwestern.

In two years I'd like to go to Iowa and Wisconsin.

If Michigan makes it to the Pizza Pizza Bowl I'll definitely be there, too.

Hopefully I can make it to at least 1 ... I bought season tickets last year but I gave em away this year because I will be playing football on Saturdays this year and I won't be able to make it to any games ... only game I know of that I dont have a game is week 1 and week 2 but week 2 I have a drill weekend for the Air National Guard.

I scored some student tickets from one of my brother's friends and I'm flying in from Little Rock for WMU and The Game right now. Then I'm still trying to figure out if I'm coming back home for Penn State. I'm selling the rest of my tickets if anyone is interested though. Section 27 row 39.

I will be attending every home game in my final triumphant year in the student section as well as our annual fisticuffs with Michigan State University in East Lansing.

I'll probably only make Indiana or Purdue and maybe one of the cupcake non conference games. Tickets and travel are expensive, but I owe my dad a few games for missing last season.

I'll be attending all the home games. In addition, I'm one of a large group going to the Wisconsin game, and if I can stomach it, I may go to the msu game as well.

I move to Minnesota for grad school the same year they rotate off of our schedule.

There's an outside chance I come back for "Recent Alumni Weekend" and the Penn State game. There's also an outside chance I go to the game at Wisconsin. I'll have to see how a couple things (academic schedule, budget, college hockey travel schedule, travel companion availability) shake out.

Eastern and Illinois. I'm currently trying to get tickets for the Iowa game and its been tough. There's a lot of excitement in the area for this game. I hear about it every day. Ill sneak into Kinnick with a grappling hook if I have to because I just cant miss my team play here.
