Noon Games Open Thread

Submitted by jcgold on

With ND finishing off Navy, it's time to move on to the noon games. Here's what I'll be watching:

Ohio (NTO) at Penn St. - ESPN

Northwestern at Syracuse - ESPN2

Miami (NTM) at Ohio (YTO) - BTN

Western at Illinois - ESPNU

You can get a full listing of games using this handy chart: http://www.the506.com/ncaaf/

And for online streams, try thefirstrow.eu

Discuss and enjoy.

....since this review goes their way. Nice combination of speed and some balls (particularly Tettleton trying to go Mike Hart over the pile) challenging the Penn State defense, which had managed to stop them cold in the first half.

Did Penn St steal the Northwestern cat "roar" or did OHIO bring that with them. Man that's annoying.
OHIO with the point lead, will see if Penn St responds or folds.

A sentence that starts "you don't want to compare the two, but..." should probably not continue.  If it continues by comparing a child rape scandal to trailing Ohio by 3, it most definitely should not continue.

is with ESPNs College Football Theme song being so out of sync? Please tell me I'm not the only one who notices it. it sounds horrible.

The Bobcats have converted six 3rd downs in a row and are threatened yet again, but alas...

....and the FG is no good, but the point is that short passes to the edge and dead-on rushing are starting to wear down Penn State's defense. If the Bobcats can get another drive like this going and actually find the uprights or the end zone, they might do this.

It may be time to put this one in the "upset watch" column. It has the potential.

Was when we upgraded hardware to avoid these 503-504's....where's all that Kickstarter money??

More seriously, I'm sure Mickey's kid will lead them to good things, and I don't put too much into first games (MSU isn't that bad; ND isn't that good), but if this is PSU's "we just wanna play football and we'll show everyone" game, they're in for a long ten years.

And is it wrong I want to live in a Heineken world, but just without the beer? (I mean it's ok as generic beers go...)
