OT: "Sweet Caroline" is no longer welcome at Penn State football games
"Sweet Caroline," which is a big fan participation song during games, is being cut because of the lyrics, more specifically the line "touching me, touching you."
Wonder what we'll do when we host Penn State in a couple of years.

Okay, I agree that the song shouldn't be played, since it's a terrible sports song that never has a proper play time. The reasoning, that the line "touching me, touching you" is inappropriate is just ludicrous. Can we all stop being so damn PC about everything? Yeesh. I'm going to go bump to "Ass and Titties" now.

They should play "Ass and Titties" at the Big House. I can get behind that!

That Sweet Caroline is so pervasive in cfb is direct evidence that drunk frat boyz rule this country.

It sucks is understandable. Getting rid of it because of the reason stated is fricken stupid! How much longer are people going to allow some perverted messed up a-hole to alter everything they do? Forget that bastard and quite bringing up reasons to remember him.

Probably a good idea, but not sure they need to announce it though.

The song needs to be banned from all sporting events. Hell, ban it from existing anywhere.

I know it is probably not the real reason, but the reason given is a solid one: "The song has come up on the list in recent years because it happens to be played in so many other professional and collegiate venues and has no real origination here at Penn State."
We should follow the same reasoning with Zombie Nation, Seven Nation Army, etc. Don't let friends steal songs from other campuses.

Why not Hang on Sloopy by the McCoys?
