Countdown to Kickoff 2012: Day 27
I think players usually check into the hotel on the first Sunday in August and start practice on Monday. Does anyone know for sure the schedule this year? I guess I'm a little concerned that they may become SEALs instead of playing football this year.
EDIT: Nevermind. Freshmen reported yesterday, everybody else today, practice tomorrow:

These first several CTK videos have actually been a fascinating series really, and it is interesting to actually see some detailed snippets (with interviews) of the training after hearing about it back in May.
As for the concern about the players turning into SEALs raised by the OP, if Campbell can take Mealer for a nice drag as per the one exercise in that video, then I think we're in for some very effective play up front.
SEALs are famous for their low pad level.

Not sure if this will work...
Patrick Omaneh should do stand up comedy.

You always feel he's writing the comedy in his head and keeping much of the best material to himself. Wicked. In the best sense of the word. Glad he's getting more screen time.
He's hilarious. I think he might be my new favorite player on this team.
"this is where the magic happens"
He seems like a one-trick pony. He said the exact same thing, over and over, during last year's CTK.
Craig Roh flow alert(!)
It will be interesting to see how this all translates on the field this season. I hope it gives the team a spark that they wouldn't have had otherwise because they are going to need that spark in the first game against Alabamy.

I liked the part where the seal instructor noted that positive reinforcement is much better than negative.
Lot of interesting implications in that season. Especially in how various football coaches choose to build and train their teams (e.g., Hoke vs. Kelly).
